  1. He has turned it around recently. Enough where they probably bring him back because they have no other option (Hiura is not ready, that isn't an excuse). I don't see them rolling the dice on both Moustakas and Schoop...unless they trade Shaw. That's way too much money to tie up into those guys. I don't see them retaining Soria. They have so much pitching depth to fill the bullpen and can get a cheaper option this winter or just wait till July again. I also don't see them commiting so much money before FA ramps up.
  2. Nothing like a mod trying to make it about politics. On a better note the stadium was just renovated in 2013ish...pretty major if I remember right. I have never been there, but it looks nice from pictures and I have never heard any complaining. Looks like it is pretty updated all things considered. Compared to the other ones I have been to it actually looks to be really nice.
  3. They don't need to own it, that is the thing. The T-rats aren't leaving us and we aren't leaving them. It is like you doing more work for your job and you get nothing out of it. Just let someone else do all the work for the same result. There is no way (that isn't against the rules) that another franchise could offer to entice the T-Rats away.
  4. Nor would you put hours of work in preparing for Rodgers hard count...such a simpler life if Kizer is playing QB. P
  5. I thought about how great it would be to take this team (old has beens and average players playing great) etc. and then go on to defeat the Cardinals, Cubs, whoever, and whoever. Beating the Cubs/Cards on the way would be pure greatness.
  6. If we go 11-4 I’d feel comfortable we will win the division...10-5 probably....9-6 maybe a chance...maybe a tie.
  7. It isn’t a stupid ordinance. When the park went in a million years ago their were no night games. The residents of that part of town don’t want constant night games...why is that stupid? If the Cubs don’t like it they can move. I don’t think any other stadium is just in the middle of a residential area...that place isn’t a hoppin’ place at night without the Cubs there.
  8. I mean game times are switched all the time to make them nationally televised etc. Since this is the first game of a series doubt the other team cares. Not like the other team has to go across the country to play at 1pm the next day. Not sure on the policy, but seems reasonable.
  9. You won't need 5 starters in the postseason. One of those guys will be in the pen.
  10. Win our series and we have a legitimate shot to do it. Maybe trade a sweep for a series loss. I don't think 10-5 is all that crazy will how well we have played. Hopefully it can continue. It is pretty fun to have a wild card spot virtually wrapped up. Now they can just focus on getting the division.
  11. It’s a race. The Brewers now sit just one game back of the Cubs in the NL Central race. Wow almighty.
  12. I just picture Hader in a horror movie movie down the entire Cubs dugout in bloody gore.
  13. I love the decision to go to Knebel, even if it didn’t work out perfectly.
  14. Braun might. He's made quite a few nice catches lately, and he'd probably be positioned different from Granderson. Braun in RF? He probably would have been looking up clueless. Braun was awful out there.
  15. Everyone is going to call that a great catch, but in reality that was a terrible route and he just about botched that. Great speed to get there...but wow...bad bad route.
  16. He had another step. It goes from dirt to concrete but there's no actual stair there. Is the concrete in play though? You can’t stand on the foul wall and that is in line with the dugout fence.
  17. That catch looked way harder then some make it out to be. Looks like he planted his foot about as close to the step as he could. Run and harder and you are playing with ire.
  18. Wow Hendricks is throwing a lot of pitches, better hit into a DP grounder.
  19. I’m so sick of watching Shaw lately. Absolute worthless the last month, only some homers keeping his stats out of the landfill.
  20. Agreed. They aren't going to divulge any more information than is absolutely necessary. No reason to give the Vikings any extra knowledge. I get that's what they're doing, but it just seems silly. If Rodgers plays at 60% or 90%, or even if Kizer starts how are the Vikings preparing any differently? They're still looking at stopping the run, still studying the Packers line to see how they can get to the QB, etc. I just think all that "how do you prepare" stuff is so overblown. It’s not overblown. Each QB is very different. Some are deep threats and some focus on shallow ball all game. There is a totally different book of plays the packers will call with Rodgers that they never would with Kizer. Some teams also have a lot more mobile back ups. Entirely different plan if the QB has legs.
