  1. I love nothing more than when everyone is saying the game is over etc. and the Brewers pull out the win. Never give up people. Though last year it felt like the Brewers never made late game comebacks. New year, new team. I love how the cherry on the top was done by a guy who has looked pretty rough the first two games too. One second you are struggling and the next you are having one of the biggest hits of the year and we are only two games into the season. That was some vintage 2011/2012 Braun. Hope he shows up more often. Also the talking around the bases was to himself...can almost assure that. Braun is the kind of guy who does that. No one from the opposing dugout is going to harass him while he is at first. If he was saying something about the Padres a bench clearing would have happened (remember Gomez a few times).
  2. If he guessed it, with so many options to choose from, a former Brewers would be a solid guess (Lawrie).
  3. Love watching two starters get smoked in one game...
  4. Thank god we can laugh about that now. Didn't Arcia have some horrid baserunning blunder back in the day? Was it this? It was that weird situation where he and Braun(?) were standing on second and he was safe or out or something and he returned to first...idk...it was one of those things you see once and know you will never see again before you die.
  5. Well if he isn't a sub-4.00 ERA guy that isn't a big deal at his price. That could be totally acceptable. The problem is we signed him to be our #3 on a competing team. We need last year results or that signing is going to be bad because our rotation is likely going to be quite miserable if our planned #3 is more like #4/#5 He was so good at Petco park last year....only 3 runs given up so far, but he is getting hit hard. Was until last inning at least. Just the first game for him this year so not a huge deal, but he is one of those guys we dearly need to perform.

  8. I am really hoping Chacin proves me wrong and is a reliable middle of the rotation guy. If he starts serving up HRs though...ehhh. This is a guy the Brewers need to perform or this rotation is going to look really scary in a bad way.
  9. Ya, take that fans that aren't like "oh well we lost its ok" and react to someone blowing a game and are emotionally invested! How dare you point out a negative when there is a blown save or bad play. It’s a joke, don’t take it to heart.
  10. Especially with this many relievers used today. We get an off day on Sunday right? Shouldn’t be a big concern, especially with Woodruff in the pen.
  11. Playing SS typically means you can play a lot more than just SS.
  12. Umm, Perez. By a lot. By alot? Idk...I thought it was closer that that. Something about Santana really irritates me though...oh maybe his crappy defense. Meh, the defense is annoying but his offense can be really exciting. Perez is almost always irritating at the plate and his defense isn’t special. Let me put it this way. How often does Santana do something annoying on defense (not too often)? How often does Perez get out on the first pitch or swing at garbage off the plate (essentially every day)?
  13. Choi is going to need to do more to not be sent down. More than one double I would think.
  14. Except I have said Knebel was a regression candidate long before the season even started so...... But instantly had to mention it after one outing like it was a sign of something. Just wait for Villar to start off slow for 3 games or so. The comments will come out of the woodworks on that too.
  15. Yah anyone wondering why he isn’t tried at 1B knows all they need to know right there. He can’t get grounders in the outfield on a weekly basis.
  16. I understand reactionary comments, but drawing comparisons to last years team and having to mention players are huge regression candidates 10 pitches into their season is kind of extreme and makes the IGT threads cruddy at times. Sounds like a real sad way to watch games. But you do you.
  17. We have a lot of good, but not great relievers. It should work favorably for people who don’t like guys in specified roles. If Hader doesn’t get the 8th inning I’d imagine the 8th inning will get spread out a lot.
