  1. Not really a point to trading Peralta/Nelson. They are average starters right now and no team is going to overpay for that type of player. Teams will just trade for a rental and then sign one in the off-season. Yah sure Peralta/Nelson are cheaper, but are you really going to give up top prospects for that alone?...maybe but I am not so sure. I can't recall many average pitchers being traded for top prospects with 3 years of control. It just doesn't seem like a typical practice. You might get a little better of a package...but I would rather hang on to them another season at the least see if they can build value with good seasons. Right now Nelson is unproven and Peralta has one good year.
  2. You can not put anything negative or anything that might hurt a player into a contract. So no trying to void the contract for any reason. Also no way to put in PED situations either. The Brewers have nothing they can do.
  3. Lucroy for Julio Urias. Haha that would be pretty awesome. Unreal he is 18 at AA...
  4. Jean Segura has good, but not great D. That being said his value would be pretty comparable at 2B. He obviously has more value at SS, but it isn't like he is a elite super star over there. Jean Segura is more of a role player.
  5. Your only problem is the fact Segura is only around for 3 more years unless they can convince him to sign an extension. That or you pay him market value to keep him around. So that plan is not so simple...I 100% agree and would keep him around if he would sign a somewhat team friendly deal after a fully good year. Also Arcia will easily be Top 50 in mid summer rankings the way he has looked. Are you forgetting that Segura's natural position is 2B? Arcia AND Segura can coexist. Actually I didn't mention anything about them not coexisting. The problem is the fact we really don't control him that long. If we go for a rebuild I am not so sure we will contend in the next 3 years while we control Segura.

  7. 8 base runners in 3 innings yet no runs scored? Wow Fiers playing with fire today.
  8. Hedges had a .589 OPS in AA last season, Melvin would be wise not to get intoxicated by the BA ranking. Hedges is also at worst a gold glove catcher...AT WORST. He really doesn't need to hit much to be a valuable player. Like you said it allows us to trade Lucroy now and he is a much better prospect than Sardinas. Maybe something like Hedges, Gettys, and a low level arm for Segura might make more sense. Maybe Gennett needs to be included to pry away Gettys...regardless I think Segura makes a lot more sense for the Padres. Hopefully Segura can keep it up and show more doubles potential.
  9. He is not even close to being average in the field. He has been pretty bad in RF. Also yes he has 6 opposite field warning track flyouts. That is all he can do post 2012...no power to LF and anything that way is typically on the ground. He has been even worse than last year with no signs of improvement. Not sure how anyone could think he has looked better than last year. Striking out just as much(20%), walking is non exsistent, already rolling into DPs left and right, still no pull power, way too many ground balls, always behind on the ball...I could go on for days. Ryan Braun has been brutal to watch. Last year type production might just be the best to hope for.
  10. Orlando Arcia with another multi hit game down in AA.
  11. Quite the log jam at SS with every one hitting so well.
  12. Wow Monte Harrison has been dreadful. Striking out in 50% of his at-bats.
  13. Remember when Braun could pull the ball(outside of grounders/lazy fly balls)? Those were the days.
  14. Not according to the Brewers' website: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=mil#y=2015&m=4&calendar=DEFAULT (hover over a game to view details like broadcast info) Brewers stated not on TV...Thursday afternoon games never are in my experiences.
  15. Too much from the Padres. Sardinas doesn't figure to be much of an improvement over what they have now and Gennett isn't worth giving up a Hedges type player. Padres probably would look for obvious upgrades being a win now team.
  16. Long man...Thornburg likely optioned after throwing all those innings last night. Need a long man for this sad sad team.
  17. Got any season long promotional ideas...that will take 25 days.
  18. Thinking positively Cueto is 5-1 in his last 7 starts vs. Milwaukee, BUT he is 0-1 at Miller Park. Though in both of those games the pitching was quite stellar.
  19. Cueto!?!? Looks like my streak of watching the Brewers not score runs will continue...at 15 innings right now(7 opening day and 8 on Monday).
  20. Seriously, what did those charities ever do to you?
  21. Not a single pitch was in the strike zone Davis...gesusffmklsfdvv
