  1. I don't think anyone is making that throw home and getting an out.
  2. Same goes for Gennett, Ramirez, and Braun. I heard Paul Blart likes baseball.
  3. The day negative clauses can be used in contracts will be a good day. Then we can boot all these cheaters out of their contracts.(I you don't know you can't have a clause in a contract that could hurt the player. Like terminating it for PED use)
  4. I am really starting to believe Segura can go back to hitting for a decent average. He isn't trying to pull the ball anymore and that really hurt him. Still not sure if he is going to get that gap power he had back in the start of 2013 though.
  5. I haven't been able to watch either one of his starts. Is it really a possible breakthrough pitch? Trying to temper my excitement, but it's hard. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/jimmy-nelson-found-a-new-pitch/ It is basically a change up for his Slider...and it is ridiculous.
  6. Hopefully he can keep it up. Not to put expectations too high, but I really think with his stuff and ability to get ground ball outs he could be one of the best LHP pitchers in the game. This is pretty rare, but I think the scouting department might have hit one for once.
  7. Yadiel Rivera- His stat line is pathetic and always has been...and while I hear he has some nice defense averaging 24 errors a year while only playing approx. 110 games seems a bit extreme. In his favor he is still young and maybe he can become a utility type player. Honestly if you can't even get your OBP over .300 in the minor leagues you are nothing to me. Nick Ramirez- His stat line also leaves a lot to be desired as he hasn't really hit since rookie league. He strikes out way too much(A LOT). Like you said he does have some power, but not much outside of that. Ariel Pena- Probably the only one I like on your list. If he can ever figure out how to control the ball he can be a really nice bullpen piece. If I had to pick a few: Tyler Cravy- Kid absolutely dominated AA last year and is fairly close to being MLB ready. I think he is pretty underrated by most. He is pretty old(25), but he has slowly improved ever since being drafted. Victor Roache- I think a lot of places still have him as a Top 15 prospect for us, but fans have soured on him a lot. That raw power is enormous and he takes walks at a very high clip. Screams late bloomer to me.
  8. I surely hope we cound extend someone like Peralta for an additional year or two. I also wouldn't mind locking up Davis if he was open to a pretty team friendly deal...even Segura if he has a nice year. You can't just trade everything away...we have to keep some kind of reliable core.
  9. Nitpick here, but the player development personnel are different from the scouting department (which oversees drafting) Both are a total joke so I would say close enough.
  10. It was really between Rogers, Peterson and Clark. With Lucroy not hitting, they must figure Rogers is the best option to give Lind a day or two off over the next couple of weeks. I can't see him getting time at third with the way H. Gomez has hit in limited PAs so far (if Rogers is even considered a 3B anymore). Doubt much consideration was given to Peterson. He is an outfielder, but he is also a lefty. Would have been pretty pointless unless they truly believed he would be the best PH.
  11. Seeing we have no 3B prospect just noticed Joey Gallo went the pick after the Brewers picked Haniger. whoops nice job player developement team.
  12. Lind and Gennett will end up playing and Roenicke be wondering why the offense was so bad in his post game interview.
  13. I think that was the exact reason they brought up Jason Rogers. Rami on Sunday as I am guessing it is an afternoon game?
  14. Nationals best pitching staff in baseball...something the Brewers don't have. If we had that kind of staff I would be a lot more optimistic.
  15. OK well his contract won't matter if we are rebuilding. Our payroll won't be anywhere near its max and even if it is we are rebuilding.
  16. Mark A wants a competitive team on the field ever year...the Brewers can't do that...so this is what Melvin attempts to do.
  17. It never ends with Hank. Pretty sure he is in every bobble of the month, his merchandise is ridiculously expensive, does he have two normal bobbleheads this year? We are featuring this stupid dog more than the team! The Hank meet and greets at the park are not right to the dog and dangerous to its health...the time they put it in CF was strange... I was hoping he would die down, but the full size mascot and shop has made me lose hope.
  18. They won't fire Roenicke mid season just because there is no inside replacement for the rest of the year. The only way he is fired is to please casual fans so they can salvage some ticket sales.
  19. It's OK, they'll 'wake up' sometime around July; just in time for them to finish 10 games under .500. Then, they'll keep the team relatively the same because the team had "the best record in night games versus a lefty when they played on a natural surface with the roof open" and rinse and repeat. 10 games under .500? This isn't the positive comments thread.
  20. Leadership...? No such thing on this team. Not even anything close.
  21. This team is brutal. They swing at garbage served on a silver platter and can't even put pitches down the middle in play. Not to mention the mental mistakes today. Davis' play in LF and then Fiers not even paying attention to runners on first leading to a big SB.
  22. Agreed it isn't as bad as some make it out to be. Sure he has mental mistakes, but so does Jean Segura who rakes in 15 errors are year and people think his defense is great. I think he makes enough good plays to at least offset some of his poor arm and the rest of his defensive game is average. Lets be honest what does his weak arm really cost the Brewers every year? 5 plays at the plate? Having a strong arm is just a bonus not a necessity. Once again I am not saying it doesn't cost the Brewers sometimes, but he is nowhere near one of the worst OFers in the game.
  23. I don't see any reason to get on Aramis' case while practically the whole team is doing just as bad or worse. Do you not have faith in Lucroy either? Not to mention he is a slow starter throughout his career, I think you can give him some slack for now. Uh, thanks, but if it's OK with you, can I still keep my opinion? Ramirez is also about 8 years older than Lucroy (without looking it up) and is playing the last year of his career. Call me crazy, but I have more faith in Lucroy turning things around 180 degrees than I do in Ramirez. I'll keep in-game grips to a minimum. Uhhhh...can I keep mine???.... I understand he is old, but it isn't like guys that are in their prime are doing any better. He could just be in his typically April slump.
