  1. I can't see any team even considering trading for Hamilton unless the Angels pick up nearly every dollar he is owed. A team would have to be crazy to trade for him with $15mil a year attached... I figured Garza leaving free's up that money to obtain him plus a 3B that could be our future. Silly thinking because it'll never happen. I think as a GM right now, I'd be as creative as I can to fill some of our holes. I will say that is pretty creative. More of a video game trade that might be accepted. Realistically I don't think any teams wants to gamble on Hamilton's past with that much money. Or just flat out have that cancer on their team.
  2. Looks like the official scorer feels bad for Lucroy...that was not a hit.
  3. I hate Bill Schroeder...but him AND Matt Lepay calling a baseball game is the worst combo possible.
  4. I'm tired of hearing about this injury or that injury from Braun. Ever since he has gotten off the juice he hasn't been close to the braun he was. I cheated and now has ripped off the brewers for millions. That is what I am saying. All I heard for two years was about this stupid thumb and he still sucks after apparently fixing it. I am sure we will hear about it soon enough. I figured I could still cheer for him after what happened, but I am getting a little tired of him.
  5. Wonder if Braun's thumb is injured again and the public just doesn't know. He is still starting his swing waaaay early and having silly swings. Something he blamed on the thumb.

  7. No better feeling than first row. Love not having any other fans directly in front of me.
  8. So you basically call Peralta a #3 or #4 guy, but you think he is worth 2 top 100 prospects and one being nearly top 25? Woah consider me lost on why someone is trading the farm for a middle of the rotation starter. Then my understanding is you want to trade for a Peralta type pitcher on top of it? I just don't get it... I don't seeing the point in trading Peralta. He is cheap considering a pitcher like him would likely command $12mil or so a year. These #3 type starters are making a ton on the open market these days. Peralta is the kind of guy we need to extend.
  9. Last team to start 2-9 and go .500......yup not any time recently.
  10. I think it is too steep of a price considering Swihart is at AAA and Lucroy is only controlled another two years. I would probably role the dice on Swihart vs. making that trade. If anything I could see a trade centered around Owens with them just trading Lucroy in the offseason to pave the way for Swihart. Kind of like how the Red Sox treated Cespedes in a way.
  11. I booed Attanasio during that 10 game losing streak towards the end of the year as he bailed during the 6th inning.
  12. Rickie Weeks was typically booed last year before he even got to the plate. I understand some were upset his career went south with injuries, but dang he couldn't even bat without being harassed. One time he was booed vs. the Cardinals and proceeded to knock one way out...then fans cheered him. It was kind of a joke since he batted pretty decent last year.
  13. Well at least we won't have to watch Aramis Ramirez tomorrow.
  14. I am not the biggest fan of blaming coaches, but just the approach to hitting is brutal on this team. Even the guys hitting well are having horrible at bats in general.
  15. HAHA! Good job looking in hindsight. Are you saying everything in Brewers history was a a mistake since they have never won a world series? It will suck if he doesn't turn it around, but I still think it was the right move at the time. It would be hindsight if I wasn't against the signing from the beginning. Fair enough if you were against it because you didn't think the Brewers would compete.

  17. I hope people realize there is value outside of Top 100 prospects. It seems everyone thinks Lohse, Lind, and Ramirez aren't worth a lot because they won't bring back big time prospects(and this is before their poor starts to the season). If they have their typical years they can all still bring back a legitimate prospect. You just have to trust the scouting department to find those not so shiny gems. Khris Davis was never a top prospect, but probably will have a better career than half the Top 100 prospects from when he was in the minors. Heck even future bullpen pieces could be huge. Then we don't have to trot out K-Rod, Broxton, and Cotts.
  18. Did they make it where the club outfield has wait service too? Because the last time I sat there (admittedly it was almost 9 years ago) only the infield had wait service. No there is still no wait service.
  19. Coulter, Gatewood & Monte Harrison will lead us to the promised land Hey! Don't forget our ace Kodi.
  20. I don't think it's good business to consider anyone on your team untouchable, particularly for a rebuilding team. That just shuts out potential opportunities. Peralta is under control for 3 more years after this one. I'm not sure that 3 years is enough time for us to even be competitive again anyway. You don't WANT to sell a guy like Nelson, and obviously even in a fire sale, you're not looking to do so, but like I said, I would never say never and close the door on an option. What if we were being offered 4 top 25 prospects for Gomez and Nelson, and they insisted Nelson be part of the trade? Why can't Wily be signed to an extension...? Why does everyone on here just assume that after arbitration these players are going to dart? Khris Davis and Wily Peralta can both be had for pretty cheap if they get some insurance. Segura might be willing to sign an extension now you never know. Also that is such a stupid example. Don't "what if" something so ridiculously dumb...obviously they would do that, but it would never happen.
  21. No because of the thumb injury, the extra PED baggage, Gomez is older, Gomez would be much more expensive, and McCutchen is a big thing in Pit and Gomez is the opposite. From a fantasy baseball standpoint it would be interesting if Braun was actually proving he could hit and the thumb wasn't such a concern
  22. No Brewer's pitcher holds runners on well...they are all pretty bad.
  23. Wow the Brewers finally get someone to hammer a meatball. That is usually just fouled back.
