I don't see any reason to get on Aramis' case while practically the whole team is doing just as bad or worse. Do you not have faith in Lucroy either? Not to mention he is a slow starter throughout his career, I think you can give him some slack for now.

What do you want him to do? The team has been garbage and Scooter Gennett can't hit a beach ball. Hector Gomez can just PH for him. I suppose they can just pinch hit for Gennett whenever a LHP pitcher comes to the mound, but I though all along they were saying Gennett can be an every-day player I'd split Parra & Gennett up, with Davis in between them.... Cardinals like to play match up. Why make it easier on them? Have you ever heard Roenicke explain his line-ups? I am pretty sure he just pulls names out of a hat.

I'm pretty sure they did that last year too. At least Wisconsin, Beloit, and Northwest League scores I remember. Yah they list the locals ones on the left field board too.

Will be interesting if they call up an OF or just go with the one back up in Schafer. I only say that because Shane Peterson is the only other OF on the 40 man and he is a lefty. On top of that Elian Herrera is currently not on the 40 man so they would have to add him to be the emergency 5th guy. Hopefully they go with Clark and drop Schafer when Gomez comes back...one can only dream...

I am sure they want the bowl to win as that cereal bowl will probably cost them like 25 cents to make. Seems like the knit cap might win though. So sick of the endless hank...it has gotten to a level I truly can't stand. On another note the Brewers givaways are a total joke. The two Chicago teams actually do different and cool things.

The problem isn't exactly his approach, but just the fact his power has been non existent and he is still struggling getting to the ball. Positively thinking maybe it is just early season struggles and his timing is off.

In other news Ryan Braun looks just as bad as before even though his thumb is supposedly better. Little power and a very late swing on pitchers not even throwing fast.

Everyone gets so surprised this talented offense struggles really badly, but it isn't all that amazing. The team is built horribly offensively...no one wants to take pitches and too many of these players hack away with RISP.

His range is pretty bad, but honestly everything else about his defense is pretty good. I think you have to give him credit for his throws especially on those slow rollers.

He is not even that bad in the OF. I would say slightly below average and I am not that big of a fan of his defense.

I too could see them extending him, as Attanasio really likes players the fans know. However, I hope he is not extended, as he is getting played to death, and today's wear and tear could lead to problems when he's in his 30's. Today, in his peak years playing catcher and not taking a day off, he's very valuable. Fast forward a few years when he's past his prime, has no knees left and has to play first base, and I don't think he'll be worth what he'll get in his next contract. They are not resigning Gomez and I doubt they have any interest in doing so. Everyone knows he is going to break down quickly after 30...let a desperate team have him.
