  1. So Segura is hit in the face and then he hits Morneau in the head area...that was quite ironic. #Karma
  2. To my understanding that is a managers/coaching staff decision. Doug Melvin just put them into the organization...the rest is someone elses fault. And don't even get me started on Logan...
  3. Alright in Doug Melvin's defense the collapse last year happened after the trade deadline. There really wasn't a lot he could do and money was tight. August came around and he attempted to do the best he could... This year what was there to get realistically? As much as people don't like the Ramirez return there was no other option. Gerardo Parra is in that same kind of boat as money well spent as he will come in handy. There just wasn't a lot he could do as he didn't really have the money to spend. Thanks to our absolute awful scouting and developing departments we have not had many cheap players come up to relieve some cash flow. Now the bigger question is if Doug Melvin is really the kind of GM we want in a rebuilding kind of phase that we may go into. He does want to retire in 2-3 more years. Personally maybe it is time to find a GM with a good rebuilding strategy.
  4. On the bright side tickets should get pretty cheap if this continues.
  5. As bad as they have been in this short time I won't hit the "Lets predict the possible trade aways in July" until they are horrible through 3-4 times through the rotation. If the rotation and offense are still scuffling badly it may be time to look at the negatives. I just don't get why they brought Ron back if they really felt like they could compete. I don't blame him for the total collapse, but just the way he was as it progressed was annoying. His attitude was just garbage. Can't wait for him to be gone.
  6. No as the Players Union will never agree to such clauses. It also would be a lot more complicated than you think.
  7. You're basically saying the difference between things going badly and "pretty epic tanking" is 4-6 games. That's pretty ridiculous and it shows that the writer isn't as far off as some seem to think he is. The problem is the fact he isn't really mentioning some ground breaking information. If "insert 10% of the team" does bad they could really suck. Every team has risky players, injury prone players, and everything in between. I could make the same comment about any team before the season.
  8. I don't think it is any secret to Brewers fans that they could easily be 4th or 5th in the division....but I could see them grabbing a wild card spot too. Really just a poor analysis...this could go for every team that exists. Any team could under perform by ten wins or over perform by ten. In other news a stove is hot if you light it and it is hard to walk on your leg if you break it.
  9. I will never go to opening day again. Just a giant drunk fest...I will just stay home and watch it on TV from now on.
  10. Hosting of the tourney games isn't tied to a new arena if that is what you are getting at. Pretty sure that isn't why they got the bid in the first place. You are right but they could eliminate Milwaukee because of the facilities being subpar. A new arena wouldn't hurt for keeping Milwaukee in the rotation as being a host city for the tournament. A new arena might be able to get them the ability to host the regional final some day which would be really nice for the city.
  11. Seats behind either dugout is really good. Over the Brewers one is a tad more expensive and usually you can't find decent priced tickets within the first 10 rows. Over the visitors dugout you can get closer to the field for the same price. Right behind home plate is cool too if you can get into the first 10 rows or else you feel a bit far away. My personal favorite is Row 4(actually Row 1) in Section 112. You are right next to the dugout over the camera well and get to see every play at first as close as you can be. Though such a seat is pricey outside of select games. Personally avoid the bleachers as you can't really see the scoreboard.

  13. The Brewers did it a couple times last year. I went to one of those games and here are some simple tips. -Don't bring extra metal that you don't need. So leave the pocket flashlight or your watch in the car. -Get in line early! -Food and Drink is still allowed last I heard If you are near the front and don't have a lot of metal it will go fast. I just had to throw my phone in the bin and bam I was through. The farther back you are the more delays you will hit with people not being ready or not taking off all their metal. It really isn't a big deal that some make it out to be. Yeah it sucks, but it is what it is.
  14. I'm more concerned with Melvin talking about Batting Average. Hopefully he's just dumbing it down for the casual fan. What is Scafer's OBP, BABIP & OPS as a pinch hitter? Is he really that effective? I sincerely think Melvin actually looks at Batting Average as a viable stat to compare players with and evaluate players with. Somewhat bizarre Pretty sure he picked the only thing going for Schafer...
  15. I am sorry I don't think any team wants that kind of player near their team. Doesn't make a lot of sense for the Brewers anyway. They can have Lind the next two years and Hamilton only has 3 years left on his deal. He wouldn't really be helping us out all that much.
  16. Has anyone taken the MVP Tour? Where exactly does it go...does it vary? At one point I think they went to the bullpens, but I'm not sure if they do that anymore.
  17. Do you expect a new stadium to bring some excitement to the Bucks? The Bucks just have a weak following and in my opinion people in Wisconsin don't really care about the NBA. I don't even think they cover anything related to a possible new stadium where I am from and that isn't crazy far away.
  18. Why should the Bucks stay? No one cares about them outside of people close to Milwaukee. They don't have the statewide interest like the Brewers have and it shows in their attendence. The Bucks are a serious small market team that will never have the star power to get people excited and get into basketball. It also doesn't help the stadium is downtown. Milwaukee downtown isn't that great and really just makes It a pain getting to a game.
  19. Jimmy Nelson had a 3.78 FIP last year which means he had a lot of bad luck. Just can't see how you can assume so much off last year when he only pitched 70 innings. And if I remember right he was being flipped around at the end of the year between starting and relief. Jimmy Nelson will do just fine as a 5th starter this year. Much like Peralta a couple of years ago I have no concerns at this point. He didn't pitch as bad as people make it seem.
  20. Assuming they don't go on a frenzy next off-season and sign Zimmerman plus sign/trade for more I would like to see him traded next off-season. I could see Melvin/Attanasio going for an ace pitcher in FA and go for it in 2016. Attanasio is just that crazy of a guy.
  21. You don't go from one of the most dominant arms in minor league baseball to getting shelled for 10 runs. He is either injured, fatigued, or was throwing a plethora of curves. You guys don't even know any information about the start. If I named every guy last spring who did great, but flopped in the regular season OR if I named every guy who did awful, but shined in the regular season I wouldn't have enough space to list half of them. Wait till about the middle of May to be concerned. It isn't worth a grain of salt till then in my opinion.
  22. The whole draft is a crapshoot. Aiken will go top 10 and every GM in baseball would draft him 8-10 area despite the elbow. Sure maybe he just has a career filled with injuries...or you get a Cy Young candidate for years. Beauty of the MLB draft.
  23. Good chance Henderson could get 60 DLed...no chance they pull Blazek off the 40 man roster though. They are pretty high on him at the moment. Heard they were testing him out as a starter now.
  24. Luck...the most important part.
  25. Judging a starting pitcher on his first extended stay in the bigs(only 70 innings) and ending bad(pitched only 16 innings in September). Then you would like to talk about spring training? Shall we check out Peralta's stats his first year? News flash starting pitchers tend to struggle their first time up...it happens.
