  1. Someone tell Alexander to shut up.
  2. I was thinking the same. Either he was early or the entire rest of the team was late. Lol
  3. I’m not going to complain about scoring touchdowns…but I sure wish we were burning more clock.
  4. Yah, I always think this. Lots of bad throws and epically terrible decisions at the end of games. Except Favre played mostly in an era that such play was good because there weren’t a ton of ‘throwers’…that isn’t quite as good of a way to play in the current era.
  5. The only thing in Nixon’s defense is the two Packers defenders were barreling exactly through the path where he was going to need to catch that. Had he tried to catch it, I’m not sure the result is any prettier as I think the two blockers were going to plow him over, probably before he even got the ball to touch his hands. Id have to watch it again, but honestly, Nixon might have been hosed no matter what he did.
  6. He also lives in the Milwaukee area. I mean...it is just a crazy take. I guess anyone that takes a job outside of Wisconsin isn't a Wisconsin sports fan anymore.
  7. I think if you go back to his more glory days in GB, his receivers would have all stopped between those defenders...that is probably where Rodger's frustration is. Like Jordy Nelson, yah, he wouldn't keep running to the sideline. I figured this Rodgers deal was destined to be failure for that reason. A lot of what made Rodgers so good was his communication and way to form incredible relationships with receivers. Think James Jones...dude in a nutshell wasn't that good, but he did exactly what Rodgers wanted and could catch the tough placed balls Rodgers could make. It is why I was never a huge fan of burning a high pick on a receiver at the end of his tenure, there was no point. He would be gone before it ever mattered. He just doesn't have that relationship with any Jets receiver and it doesn't form overnight. I don't think Adams will solve that either. Mostly because it has been years and Rodgers and Adams have both lost a step. It will be interesting to see if the timing will be there to do the things they once did. I think it will be disappointing, but the Jets have no other choice.
  8. Underthrown? I mean, better placed there than leading him. It probably should have been caught.
  9. To be honest, if he wasn’t a Brewers player going into FA I’m pretty sure no one would want to touch him with a 20 foot pole. Prone to low-OBP and likes to strikeout 25% of the time. Likes to hit homers, but defense probably not a strong suit long term. Pre-Stearns era this was the kind of player we were all begging to get away from putting on the roster. Now Doug Melvin? Would be all over Adames.
  10. Adames just isn’t that big of a loss. At least not when you consider what his future production will likely be and the cost for it. Sure, 2024 Adames is a big loss, but can he even repeat that? If he does, how many years before he regresses? His defense already looks like it is falling off a cliff and no longer as special as it once was. Dude had a career year and didn’t even have an .800 OPS and his OBP was still a measly .331. Were these stats good and for his position? Sure…but he is already borderline a good, but not impact bat. It doesn’t take much regression for him to start being a really ‘meh’ guy in the lineup. Wily Adames was literally Rhys Hoskins at the plate last year. Adames might not even need an age assisted regression to see his stats stumble, he has yet to be consistent in his career. If you were looking for a predictably terrible contract soon to be signed, Wily Adames is a shining example. I’m sure he is great in the locker room, but plenty of other guys probably are too and can be leaders. I really don’t see him as much of a loss in that regard.
  11. You don’t touch the QBs head, the NFL says no.
  12. Probably not much...but part of the problem is they can't having Cable paying $5mil and then take YouTube TVs highest offer at say $1mil. Cable will find out and then refuse to pay exponentially more. And I really don't see where MLB would even want YouTube TV. If people can't watch on YouTube TV they are streaming people. They will gobble up the direct streaming service. Wouldn't you want that? That isn't quite the same with the cable watchers. If you don't give cable viewers an option, they very well may not pay for the direct streaming option.
  13. I really don't know what to say other than these are some of the worst ideas I have ever heard in the history of "fix the playoffs" in any sport.
  14. This is how I look at it: 1) 'Hopefully this means the Brewers come back to Youtube TV etc.' If the streaming services made sense and made money, wouldn't Bally have been doing it? 2) 'Cutting out the middleman should mean more money shouldn't it?' Well, maybe. Assuming MLB can be just as cost efficient doing it and it doesn't hurt revenue (like advertising) having the Brewers as a standalone on their own channel. However, I wouldn't expect this to be some dramatic increase in revenue. Because if the middleman was actually blocking us from so many profits, they wouldn't be bankrupt and they wouldn't be trying to drop us.
  15. Thankfully there is (hopefully) no way we can afford him and he won't be back. All the hype around him being so great this year and his OPS was still under .800 and we have absolutely no business giving a massive contract to someone with this kind of wild inconsistency.
  16. I doubt it...might make it even more unlikely. Reality is these streaming services don't want to pay a ton of money for the rights to distribute the games. It was a lot more lucrative to have when you either had to use cable or satellite TV. Now you have like 10 different options to watch TV. It is tough to sell that as a very valuable thing to add to your service and still make enough sense for MLB to not just get people to direct stream with them. The only reason to keep pushing it on cable/satellite is for the dinosaurs that watch games. I guess we will see, but I won't hold my breath it is magically going to pop up on Youtube TV any time soon.
  17. For us to get the ball back and matter? Agreed. Giving the Ram 10-14 seconds? Definitely something that could matter.
  18. We did everything possible to help the Rams.
  19. We just snapped the ball with over 10 seconds left on the play clock.
  20. Insanely bad play calling. Yikes
  21. Ehhh, I don’t know if they would play it that conservative and in theory they could have got it back with 3+ minutes still.
  22. Can’t say he really had to earn that INT, but hey, if Stafford give a gift…one shall take it.
  23. Kraft was not interested in being stopped
