  1. Melancon finally got the job done. Looks like we've got our work cut out for us.
  2. Yeah I'm anxiously waiting for the Pit/LAD game to get over so they can switch. Up here, Brewers on TV is a rare treat.
  3. Looks to actually be broadcast here today on FOXS1 so hopefully Wily has a good showing this afternoon.
  4. Sounds like a very intriguing and exciting pitcher to watch. Let's hope for good health.
  5. I want to see them spoil it for the cubs at the end.
  6. Does anybody know by how wide of a margin we lead the majors in being picked off 1b by a LHP?
  7. 6/30/1990 Today is the 25 year anniversary of the epic Brewers vs Mariners brawl after Bob Sebra plunked Tracy Jones of the Mariners. "Go to a baseball game and WWF breaks out." I'll never forget it, and I've dreaded West coast road trips ever since. Enjoy sheffield's flat top.
  8. Thunderstorm interrupted the signal after Braun's single to load the bases with nobody out. I knew then the game came back on the inning would be over with no further scoring. Like clockwork...
  9. Didn't get any help with the Parra homer and certainly didn't help himself with the throw to 2b-ish.
  10. I won a dollar from myself when Minnesota got a HR in the 1st inning.
  11. I've noticed another: the curse of BA saying something positive about a Brewer during a game.
  12. I especially wouldn't put that past Hample, as he probably already had 20 or so balls in his backpack that he shagged during BP and begged for from the bullpen.
  13. Well, one positive from tonight was that I didn't have to see that car wash lady. Nice game for Shane, too.
  14. I bet CC was just tickled pink about having to bring in Smith to relieve Broxton with 2 outs in the bottom of the 8th down 8 runs.
  15. Let me say first of all, I don't give much of a rip about the all star game. That said, anybody who looks at the voting, especially the AL voting, can see it's time for a change in the way it is being done. I just so happen to have the solution. It's a no-brainer. Get rid of the online voting, period. None of this stuffing a box with your e-ballots multiple times in a day. Sure, some people won't like it. Want to vote for your team's players to be in the all star game? Buy a ticket to an MLB game, get the vote ballot there (you get one per game) and punch out the perforated circles for your favorite players with your car keys. It might seem archaic to go back to the old ways but I think all star voting should be a privilege that comes with attending a game.
  16. GoGo saved it us with his jam job blooper today. Not out of the woods by any stretch though, I'll still be surprised if nobody gets us this year.
  17. Finally got to a game while visiting. There was a lot to like about tonight's win. It was a lot of fun watching Ian Desmond repeatedly and completely baffled by Fiers changing speeds on him, en route to a golden sombrero. I can't believe nobody on here commented on Scooter's web gem.
  18. I love how Rock thinks Lind getting away with two mistakes = good baserunning.
  19. I thought he played it pretty nicely for the carom off the wall. The throw, on the other hand, was both off target and a lollipop. Should have made Span pay the price for trying to get to 2b.
  20. 6/3/85 Apologies for flaking out on posting this yesterday. 30 year anniversary of the Milwaukee Brewers' only #1 draft choice, William James Surhoff. http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Images/Cards/Baseball/8737/8737-479840RepFr.jpg
  21. At Busch they've got that wall built at just the perfect height for destroying somebody's season or career.
  22. I'm not defending West by any stretch. I'm just saying guys get away with a whole lot of chirping and arguing on balls and strikes in instances where not too long ago they would have had to go hit the showers and learn to keep their trap shut.
  23. On the plus side, Lackey wasn't fooling anybody in the top of the 1st.
