  1. There are a lot of industries in the world where someone is criticized for getting a pay raise and doing less work.
  2. Yup, after those two seasons he was coming off of, it looked like he was heading toward Harper money. Never sign injured players to large contract extensions before they recover. Imagine how much sense it would make if david bakhtiari were in a contract year this year and the Packers signed him to a big money extension right now?
  3. The only way I thought they'd bring Burnes back on short rest is if they were down 2-1. They were and this was clearly a game where 6+ innings were needed from the starter. Counsell made the wrong call. It was not a good series for him as he was outmanaged considerably.
  4. How is that on Hader? How is that not on Hader? He has obviously told Counsell all year long he won't pitch more than one inning. Period. Yup, there's just not much value to one inning relievers who pitch under 60 innings in a season and can't pitch two innings in the postseason when needed. If Brandon Woodruff can figure out how to pitch on two days rest after a 6 inning start, Hader can pitch multiple innings in the postseason. Now would be the time to trade him if reasonable value can be found.
  5. Just to clarify, you mean longest by any team in the postseason? Because that is pretty special.
  6. Yup, that would've been the rare time where a 4th out in an inning would've been possible. I'm following everything up until the appeal portion. What is this? Stepping on 2nd base would be the appeal (As you would be appealing the tag up, which obviously he left before the ball was caught). If you never step on 2nd, the runner successfully tags up from 2nd and the run counts.
  7. Like I said, you stand behind your kicker no matter what. Short memory
  8. 4 down territory for the whole drive
  9. For who? There's plenty of college kickers who graduate every year. Find one of them or someone else.
  10. I mean they certainly could have left him in longer if they did.
  11. I mean there were like 60k people who came to watch outside the stadium for game 6, the Bucks support around this state isn't a joke anymore. I guess I wouldn't be that surprised if it's $800 after fees but $1k seems too high unless it's a possible clinching game.
  12. Wouldn’t it make cents to just spend all that lost money on seats to a few playoff games? Seems like a lot of hassle. If the Brewers make the World Series, I’d be surprised if you could buy a non-standing-room-only tickets for less than $1k via StubHub. I know they were going for a lot in 2018. Heck, I was able to buy Terrace level tickets for World Series home game 1 in 2018 and I believe they were around $250 face-value. And if it gets to the point of a clinching game, it will be drastically more expensive. I mean I paid $250 for terrace seat for game 7 in 2018 on the secondary market. Do you really think it would be four times as expensive for World Series tickets? Even when the Bucks were in the Finals this past year I got a seat in an area half the capacity of Miller Park for $750 after all taxes and fees. My guess is around $500 or so.
  13. Pet Peeve of mine: 1) Calling someone a GOAT is an insult in my book. Yes, I know what the acronym stands for, but it is still a goat... 2) Anyone calling Tom Silverstein the Greatest of all Time is a joke beyond comprehension. Or maybe he is just a goat? I could not agree more with number 1. Be an adult, say "greatest of all time" if you mean greatest of all time. Don't call somebody a farm animal unless you mean to insult them.
  14. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that it'll be the Collin Rea show tomorrow. Still taking bets?
