  1. I've been surprised by how bad he's been out in CF so far, a plus defender every year so far.
  2. Umpires today are way better than umpires of a decade or two ago. Seriously, six inches off the plate used to be called all the time.
  3. Yesterday aside, an early hook seems to be a team design. Deep and good pen designed to eat up innings at the back end of games. But yeah I probably would have let Anderson try to get through the 7th until a man reached. It makes 0 sense to allow a struggling pitcher to go 100+ pitches one day and then to pull your best pitcher at 80+ pitches another day while he's cruising. Why even have starting pitchers start the game if they're never allowed to go 7 innings? Why not just have a reliever pitch the first two innings, starter goes 6 and then closer finishes it off?
  4. Thats one of the dumbest baserunning mistakes Ive seen
  5. This is what I was talking about in the season predictions thread.
  6. How is that funny? We did it once already too... Perhaps its because it is against the Marlins? Or perhaps because they played 17 innings yesterday as well? Tire out the bullpen early on!
  7. Wonder when the last time the Brewers swept a team while hitting only one HR in the whole series. Probably not in my lifetime. Your first place Milwaukee Brewers now have a magic number of 160! For real this time...
  8. He gets worse every year. Some standard details like the score, or whos batting, or where the ball is hit would be nice.
  9. I have never mistaken a dramatic, no doubt homer, for strike 3.
  10. Definitely not Uecker's call of that homer https://streamable.com/3ohbg
  11. Here's the radio call https://streamable.com/3ohbg You guys aren't kidding.
  12. It's 161. I'm just saying. Oh yeah Pirates won, forgot about them. BUT THIS IS THE OPTIMISM THREAD, ITS WHATEVER NUMBER WE WANT IT TO BE!
  13. Magic number down to 160! Ryan Braun for MVP!
  14. Now I know my 68 win prediction is too high...
  15. Your first place Milwaukee Brewers! Magic number down to 162!
  16. I just don't have a ton of faith in Anderson matching what he did last year. I don't think Suter is a long term answer in the rotation, Chacin and Davies should be decent, add an injury or two and our rotation is a disaster right now. As for the offense, 20th in runs last year with a number of players having career years to get there (Shaw, Sogard, Santana, Pina, Thames) Anyways, prove me wrong Brewers!
