  1. True, but you don't just accept a deal for the sake of doing it. It would be a different story if Luc had a huge contract, but he's one of the best bargain vets in the league, and he still holds value to our ball club outside of trade.
  2. I'm getting to the point of just holding onto Lucroy if we aren't getting any elite talent in return. If we're being low balled around the league I'm perfectly OK holding on to him until the winter. This is the biggest trade chip on the market and you're not being a homer for admitting it.
  3. Today on a SNY broadcast Jim Duquette suggested a deal for Lucroy and Hill. How this guy had a GM job in the big leagues is beyond me. The deal goes... Mets Recieve Lucroy Hill Brewers Recieve Wilmer Flores (The Crybaby) Gavin Cechinni or Nimmo Gabriel Ynoa I mean how can Duquette be this clueless? I would have to think about that deal just for Aaron Hill let a lone Lucroy. The Mets have been known to be cheap, but that's a package for Chooch.
  4. Honestly I think the Cubs match up the best for Lucroy.
  5. I'm really warming up to the idea of Josh Lowe at 5 just saying.
  6. Do you think Stearns holds all the leverage here?
  7. I'd have to agree with you. I'd bet a lot of teams are kicking themselves because they didn't deal for him in the off-season. If teams thought that DS was asking a lot before I think the price probably has gone up since.
  8. 1.5 - Delvin Perez, SS, Puerto Rico I think we go under slot with Perez IF he is available which in the case here he is. It's tough passing on an arm like Pint though.
  9. Mark down Flores as well as Scooter as my least favorite Brewers. Kid looks lost out in the field.
  10. Personally I don't think Senzel will ever tap into average to above average power which scares me with him being a 3rd baseman
  11. 1.3. Braves - Corey Ray, OF, Louisville
  12. If we are eating salary for a better return I'd much rather deal with the Redsox and eat Sandoval or Castillo. That Tex is ludicrous.
  13. I would assume that these uniforms are kind of signaling the end of an era for the current uniforms. Personally I hope take a Blue Jays-esque approach to a re brand and refine the old look with a few tweaks. I hope the pinstripes come back though in some capacity.
  14. Absolutely could see a Barrios type trade repeated. I honestly think the Royals would be better served replacing Moose in house though.
  15. Villar has been a steal so far for us, and outside of his questionable base running he's been a joy to watch. Scooter has been very disappointing so far I would definitely look to deal him if the opportunity presents itself.
  16. I might get hate for this, but that's not even close to enough to get a deal done. If this was an offer for Braun last year he would've be gone quicker than your head could spin, but knowing what we know now I'm gonna need more. Jeffress has proven to be a more than serviceable as a closer with legit stuff, and no longer just a throw in candidate. Jose De Leon would be the real exciting prize of this deal and I feel like he can be a solid 2/3 in the big leagues. Cody Bellinger is an interesting piece as well and I'm interested to see if his power continues onto the next level. Trayce doesn't real interest me outside of his athleticism he'd be a risky piece IMO. I see the Giants as a fit for Braun, but I don't think they can make a very competitive offer.
  17. I have a feeling Philly wants to go with a quick mover through the system especially with their accelerated success. I think Puk's control issues and inconsistencies scare them off and they go with a safe but talented bat. 1.1 Kyle Lewis, Mercer, OF
  18. I don't care if you have a dissenting opinion in fact I'm happy you do because I love talking Brewer's baseball and that's how a productive discussion starts. I said chicken littles because a lot of posters are "acting like the sky is falling" in regards to not trading Lucroy by now. If you think that's an insult... Then I don't know what to tell you. Alright back to Lucroy!
  19. I trust DS a hell of a lot more than the chicken little on this forum. He has had a firm belief in the value of Lucroy and has not budged on it. We should be praising him... not crucifying him.
  20. No thanks, not unless Daniel Norris and Fulmer are involved.
