  1. One more poor start and Woodruff or Burgos need to replace Nelson in the rotation. I believe Jimmy has options. A Milone-Scahill or Suter flop could also happen. I have no desire to watch any more Nelson starts.
  2. At what point does Santana or Broxton get sent packing? Both are struggling tremendously. Thames to RF, Aguilar to 1B? Perez in RF? Brinson, Cordell or Wren?
  3. All players entering MLB should have to go through the draft. The highest bidder for foreign born players sucks.
  4. Welcome to the St. Paul Saints, Mr. Cravy. If you had better than under average pitches you might have made the roster. By the way, no one works 9 to 5 jobs unless you work in sales. Oh well, as long as Walmart respects you.
  5. Hughes had a 2.82 ERA over 300+ innings pitched and a 60% ground ball rate. The pen is shaky at best and the back end also had poor springs. Cravy does not have good stuff and Schahill is unproven. Milone is a head scratcher but is going to get a chance at tough lefties. Hoping it works out but I am not counting on it. Sketchy, sketchy bullpen but at least they sold high on Thornburg and Will Smith.
  6. T Plush, who is short on a Guerra-Gallo deal? Guerra is old and Gallo lost his luster. Not saying it should be done but it seems pretty fair.
  7. Brinson and Peralta get Gallo but no way should that happen. Guerra would get Gallo even up. That too, should not happen.
  8. You acquire talent and go for it. It is not always the best team, it is often who is hot at the moment. Put butts in seats.
  9. Since Colorado Springs is trash, is there a chance the Brewers will keep Nottingham ©, Gatewood (1B), Diaz (2B), Dublin (SS), Ergec (3B), Ray (OF) and Clark (OF) together to start the season? I may be advancing a few players more quickly that they should but this would be awesome. I'd watch more AA than MLB.
  10. Thoughts on the Brewers claiming Jumbo Diaz. The late inning relief is sketchy and he will be better than Cravy. My guess is he'd be a fan favorite on day one.
  11. Shaw, my bad. Should have just said The Mayor of Ding Ding City. It is easier to remember.
  12. The Brewers will need Perez if Arcia can not hit over .200, if Holt can not hit lefties, if Thames is a disaster and Korea numbers don't translate or if Villar was a flash in the pan. One of the four is happening. LA would laugh at that trade offer. They may not due Perez for Stewart or Barnes even up.
  13. MLB: 1.) Garza, 2.) Davies, 3). Guerra, 4.) Peralta, 5.) Anderson/Nelson AAA: 1.) Nelson/Anderson, 2.) Hader, 3.) Lopez, 4.) Jungman, 5.) Woodruff How is that for depth? Nelson and Anderson will battle for the 5 spot. Milone could be MLB long relief.
  14. As a reminder, Thames played in Korea last season. Korea is not AAA. Hope Thames is average but I am not sold on it happening.
  15. The horse has been beaten long enough. Braun is not going anywhere. I am glad, too. I hope he retires a Brewer.
  16. This could be Shaw's break out year. Is .260, 25 HR's and 85 RBI a pipe dream? I have a good feeling about "The Mayor of Ding Dong City." If Santana can produce similar results and Braun stays it could be a decent 3, 4 and 5 in the batting order.
  17. Milwaukee is the only MLB team that would give Kirk a MLB contract.
  18. If the Brewers do nothing else, predict a 25 man roster. SP: Garza, Guerra, Davies, Nelson, Peralta RP: Anderson (long relief), Moline, Suter, Barnes, Torres, Marinez (SU), Knebel (CP) C: Susac and Pina IF: Thames, Villar, Shaw, Arcia, Perez, Gennett OF: Broxton, Braun, Santana, Nieuwenhuis, Reed Initial thoughts: Sketchy/very unproven bull pen, weak reserve OF's and a utility infielder needs to be added. If Brinson, Phillips, Cordell, Yadiel Rivera, or one of the young pitches win a job and surprise, this could be an interesting team. I am thinking Peralta and Garza will see this season as an opportunity for a pay day and will be very decent in 2017.
  19. Garza or Jungman for Jeffers straight up. That is about all Milwaukee should give.
  20. Norris is expected to get $4 million with one year of arbitration. Would two years and $7.5 million get it done? My guess is a Susac/Maldanado platoon in Milwaukee.
  21. Remember Mr. TPlush, according to you the Brewers don't have a spot for Puig. lol Too bad Milwaukee missed the deal at the deadline. Could have dumped Braun's contract and received Puig, McCarthy and prospects (possibly Bellringer). Hopefully Santana stays healthy so we don't have to see Perez in the OF on the same day we see Broxton in 2017.
  22. Rajai Davis a Brewer.......... umm, no chance.
  23. Because Guerra has a noodle arm, Nelson was junk, Davies is too young, Anderson may not make the top five, and Wily is a rebound candidate. Counsell will go with "his experience in big game situations" although the opener is not necessarily a big game. Garza was a DL candidate coming out of spring training in 2016.
  24. Garza will start opening day and they will try and build his value to trade him midseason. Your #1 starts opening day.
  25. Last chance for Wily. If he struggles in the first half designate him for assignment and cut your losses. I do have more faith in Wily than Chase Anderson. If no additions are made it is looking like a Garza, Guerra, Davies, Nelson, and Peralta rotation. Garza is not a #1 but management will treat him as though he is. Anderson as long relief and spot starter is not a terrible thing early on.
