  1. I'd actually prefer someone with multiple years, because I don't like the idea of giving up good prospects for a rental.
  2. I agree with what most people are saying about specific tribes--if they're ok with it, what's the big deal. However, I have no idea how the NFL still allows a team to be called the "Redskins." This, along with the Cleveland Indians' logo, is openly racist. I don't even see how anyone could attempt to deny it.
  3. For some reason I wasn't too angered by it. Probably because it far too boring to stir up any type of emotion. Or maybe it was the 3,000 people in the stands.
  4. Woogie, that avatar is awesome. The first name I saw was Rivera, and I thought for a second, 'His avatar is a Mike Rivera jersey? That's kind of strange.' As far as the game goes, I could realllly go for about a 12-3 laugher. Seems like the Brewers are long overdue for one of those.
  5. Here's a sweet page at baseball musings that lets you input each player's obp and slugging (or projected obp and slugging) and it optimizes the lineup for you.
  6. It is strange that the 40 GB system is not backwards compatible, but I personally don't see it as a big deal. I bought the PS3 to play PS3 games, not games that I could play on my PS2.
  7. Fine, then I will change my assessment to: Teams won't trade anyone this early unless they get Fielder, Hart or Braun in return. So still, where does that get you? Are you suggesting that they should trade one of those guys? Because if you aren't, doesn't that put us back at square one?
  8. Nate McLouth is better than just about anyone.
  9. Olsen is the only good pitcher they'll face, and he's lefty. I like the chances of winning the series.
  10. Not to get off-topic, but Zach Jackson was actually supposed to be the jewel of that trade.
  11. What do you gain by giving up Fielder or Hart? If they get a pitcher, it's almost surely going to be with prospects. There can't be more than a few teams who would give up good starters for prospects at this point, and even the Giants will want major league talent for Lincecum. It just doesn't make sense to trade a starting major league player for him, because then you're just weakening another area..
  12. But you completely ignored my only point. How is he supposed to trade for someone now when nobody is ready to sell yet?
  13. My friends can tell you I went on a pretty epic tirade when Gwynn hit in the sixth with bases loaded and two outs over Dillon on Saturday. That was probably my most frustrating Yosting of the year.
  14. Wow, awesome. I can't even use an electric razor normally, but I'll definitely try that.
  15. That's not the point Big Reed. The point is: What team is going to trade an above average pitcher after one month of the season? Those guys rarely become available during the season, and if they do, it certainly won't be until teams know they're out of contention. Like in July.
  16. Yuck Hardy. So what are people's thoughts on him. Is he just really this bad? He's pretty much hit like this for all but two months of his MLB career.
  17. Remember that game last year where the Astros left the bases loaded like four times? I think Vargas was pitching.
  18. Man, Parra has looked pretty bad this season. What's that about?
  19. How deep was that homer by Rickie, like 600 feet?
  20. Mike, I understand you generally defend Yost, but why do you need to go about this in such a condescending manner? And zero percent? That's just not accurate. Even after the game when most people figured Gallardo was fine, people were questioning leaving him in there. Yost is at least partially responsible for the decision to leave him in. Now I don't really think the decision to leave him in was much of a factor in the injury, but who knows for sure.
  21. You picked the wrong time to post this dude. Just kidding. Interesting.
  22. Weaver has no trade value at all. Chris Young is pretty much an ace.
  23. If they want a good chance to make the playoffs, they need to get someone who is clearly an above average starter. It may not be possible to get good value in such a deal. The biggest decision to make is whether LaPorta can go. He's probably the only one who could net a good pitcher that the Brewers can control for more than a couple years.
  24. Ross, I think you're right. I can't think of one worse than this.
  25. If that was a dirty play than Weeks' slide into home was up there with Pete Rose or Albert Belle. He was just hustling and probably made a bit of a foolish decision on the fly.
