  1. Now that the initial shock has worn off a bit for me, I have some questions. I thought torn ACLs result in severe swelling shortly after the injury? When Yo said the pain "went away" was he just being a tough guy who wanted to stay in? How was he still feeling ok even after the game? It just seems so strange.
  2. Man. I really feel like they have to do something. Just make sure it's someone they can control for more than two years. Edit: I actually think any upcoming trade might end any chance of re-signing Sheets. If they traded for an above average starter, they'd just keep that guy next year along with Yo, and say goodbye to Sheets.
  3. Gamel, Gillespie and Jeffress for Lincecum? Maybe Escobar? Ugh. I'm not even making sense. This is awful.
  4. Either way, there's no question the Brewers have faced tougher pitching than most. Can't remember the thread, but ennder posted the average OPS against for all the pitchers the Brewers have faced, and it was really low.
  5. I'd switch between Branyan and Dillon depending on the handedness of the starting pitcher. That way they could rotate out Braun and Fielder if they wanted.
  6. I figure it's only a matter of time until they hit Fukudome second and Soriano fifth or sixth. It's ideal for both of them.
  7. The Cubs are doing it the right way. I'm hoping all the media members calling for Marmol to close get to Lou, but I doubt that happens.
  8. You can't dismiss 80 ABs from Branyan and then point to 29 ABs for Gwynn to support him.
  9. I'd love the Wii just for MarioKart. I just bought a PS3 and love it, but I don't see a big difference between PS3 and Xbox 360. PS3 has blu ray, free online play and rights to MLB The Show, but the 360 probably has a better selection of games at the moment.
  10. Leave him up since he'd be the best option off the bench against righties?
  11. I still haven't seen it. I'm generally a bit queasy with these things, so if I made it this far I'll probably just avoid seeing it. Sounds like it's a very good sign so far.
  12. Not sure what you are trying to say. That this board has differing opinions? You won't see the same person complain about starting the "hot hand" over a platoon advantage and then complain about starting the platoon advantage over the hot hand.
  13. It's the same concept, except this board has rules and moderators so it doesn't get nearly as bad.
  14. I'm wondering if you still think Marmol pitched the most crucial part of the game? Well, odds are if they had saved Marmol for the "save" there wouldn't have been a lead to protect. He shut the door in the seventh and owned the Brewers' top hitters in the eighth, so hard to argue that IMO.
  15. The Cubs outscore the Brewers 29-16 and lose the series. Wee!!1!
  16. Following this by computer is just brutal.
  17. Must it always be a heart attack? My stomach can't take this.
  18. Please don't force me to get angry at work.
  19. Yost goes to Shouse after Fukudome gets on base?
