  1. Where did you hear this? I guess we'll see in about 7 minutes.
  2. So if MLB is taking 25% of the tickets, who gets that many tickets, and where did that number come from? That's over 10,000 tickets per game.....
  3. I'm assuming Woodruff goes as long as he can. No reason to take him out when he's rolling and he's got the shadows on his side.
  4. My optimism for the Brewers rotation in the future was what would happen if one or two of Woodruff/Peralta/Burnes/Hader worked out. Next year is going to be fuuuuuun.
  5. Did the Dodgers know this was going to happen? Curious how they started Bellinger and Muncy today...
  6. Luckily I'm not playing in this game because that first inning more or less ruined any excitement I have for this game.
  7. Same lineup as Game 1 except Kratz instead of Pina, which is fine. Having Shaw/Santana off the bench will be nice if needed later in the game.
  8. Yeah nevermind I'm wrong, I didn't even realize I was charged an extra $3. I'll tone down my anger a little but that still sucks. My guess is it costs the Brewers money to charge credit cards regardless of if they reimburse you when the event doesn't happen, but still sucks since they're making money hand over fist on the games that do happen. Oh well, $3 fee to make sure I have tickets could be worse I guess.
  9. There was an MLB.com article today about how those numbers are pretty misleading. Lots of infield hits (a few crushed homers too).
  10. I fully agree that starting Davies today makes a lot of sense, other than the problem that starters typically don't want to have a start sprung on them the day of. He was just announced as the roster replacement, but they don't say he's starting today so guessing they're sticking with Miley.
  11. I got refunded for the full ticket cost plus fees per ticket. There was no specific order fee. The $3 fee referred to above was for parking, which you only get charged if you paid for parking. The fact that they aren't refunding that is ludicrous. Luckily, I usually just get general parking and you can always get that online the day of the game so I'll just wait and buy that separately once I know games are actually happening. But I do have parking for Saturday so I guess if that game doesn't happen I'm out the $3 which is stupid.
  12. I'm tempted to say that the Brewers should try to find a way to start Santana in RF today. Cain was 3-5 in Game 1 though and don't really think we should bench him anyway. Only other option would be benching Aguilar and moving Braun to 1st (no way they bench Braun), but Santana is seeing the ball really well right now so I wouldn't be opposed to this. Could go: Cain Yelich Braun Santana Moustakas Perez Kratz Arcia Miley
  13. I got the refund today for the Wild Card and NLDS Game 5.
  14. We're 6-0 in games Gio has started. So? How much of that has that really been Gio's doing? I was at the game they won 11-0 against Detroit and he didn't look that great. 2.13 ERA, 3.59 FIP, 73.1 DRA- Looks pretty good to me. Also if we don't win all 5 of those games in September, we don't win the division. He had one bad inning, limited the damage. He's probably pitching one more inning. Can maybe just tone down the hyperbole a little.
  15. Something's off mechanically for Gio. Pina setting up way inside and he's missing way outside vs. Dozier.
  16. Kind of amazing the Brewers have done what they've done in this postseason given the relatively weak performances from Cain and Yelich. They've obviously had their moments but I would've thought they would both have to stay hot for us to make it this far. Now imagine if they suddenly get hot.
  17. Momentum is entirely on the Brewers side going into this game. Hoping Gio starts strong and Woodruff/Burnes/Hader can pick up the rest. Rich Hill is good but Brewers offense has delivered against the tougher pitchers in this series, no reason to suspect they don't keep it rolling tonight. I'm going with Brewers win 5-2.
  18. Hoping for an infield next summer of Moustakas-Arcia-Hiura-Shaw. Shaw-Arcia-Hiura-Aguilar also acceptable. Love how Hiura is providing even more to be excited about in October this year.
  19. Arcia doesn't walk much, but when he's on he makes a lot of contact so his low walk rate is mitigated somewhat by a low strikeout rate. Obviously his K-rate spiked this year, up 5% from last year, but he also had a lot of other issues this year so we'll see what it looks like next year. Hoping this year is just an adjustment year and he's back to the .700 OPS guy I think most of us expected him to be with elite defense.
  20. I mean the TV was on after the game watching the post game. I may not watch them tonight, but I don't think it's unreasonable for Brewers fans to want to watch the national coverage of their team and to be disappointed with the result. Everyone is used to our local guys being homers (or at least slanted that way). You aren't going to get that on a national stage especially being a small market where the Packers beat you in the ratings for an NLCS game. Most of us are from Wisconsin, I think we're pretty used to getting overlooked for the bigger market teams. There's a difference between that and the post-game last night. This is honestly not that big of a deal though and these conversations don't have to escalate into a big back and forth assigning blame. This forum is for discussing and often complaining about things, don't need to tell everyone to stop talking about stuff, otherwise there'd be no forum.

  22. In-game guys seem fine. Post-game guys couldn't stop talking about how badly managed last night's game was for the Brewers, despite the Dodgers getting shutout in the postseason in LA for the first time since 1986. First question to Braun after the game was about how scared he was in the 9th inning.
  23. I'm not much for identifying faulty swing mechanics, but with Arcia it was clear as day that he could not keep that back foot set for whatever reason and it was not surprising that he put up one of the worst full season performances in baseball at the plate this year. When a guy with defense that good still has a negative WAR, it's not good. He does seem to be putting together better ABs lately (he looked impressive in Game 163 and has put some good swings on pitches in the postseason so far, with great results to show for it). Sometimes he's up their hacking and his walk totals will likely always be low, but if he can get back to being the contact hitter he was and keep his mechanics in check, he should produce enough to stick at SS for the next 5 years and provide solid value as a 2-3 WAR guy in the 8-hole which is actually a very valuable player.
