  1. Well Stearns can't just get up and leave...he is under contract. He got extended before 2019 and I am guessing said contract was probably at least 3 years and likely didn't include 2019 as one of the years. He wasn't going anywhere even before this promotion. Yes he is under contract but if he really wanted to go home its possible that Attanasio would let him. With a big money owner and it being his favorite team growing up its easy to see the appeal but it looks like ownership stepped up.
  2. As bad as this team has been a Burnes and Woodruff 1-2 would have given the team a decent chance. Now with all these injuries you just hope for a decent showing. Have no idea how this team can even score more than a run or two but at least we have a few more games to watch until March.
  3. I was hearing rumors that he was going to the Mets so Attanasio must be giving him a raise to stay. Always thought the one job he would leave for is his childhood team but ownership must have stepped up.
  4. Amen brother. outside of maybe the guy in Cincinnati he's probably the worst hitting coach in the big leagues right now They can hire any random fan as the hitting coach and the results wouldn't be any worse.
  5. So people rip on Freddy for not getting it done today or whatever pitcher doesn't shut down the opponent completely but the fact is this offense just fails day in and day out.
  6. Maybe someone on this board can use sabremetrics to make us all feel better about that horrible, non-competitive at-bat by Hiura. Is there an offensive equivalent to the "pitching lab" at Maryvale? Because if anyone needs the kind of offseason Corbin Burnes had last year, it is Hiura. Haines magic has it all worked out.
  7. So we have 2 hits so far today. As far as I'm concerned Haines being fired has to be the first move of the offseason.
  8. I don't care if I am beating a dead horse here but they need a new voice. Whatever Haines is doing is just not working.
  9. Lauer is about as fun to watch as Manny Parra used to be.
  10. Well if he’s had three bad outings they should probably cut him I guess. Corbin Burnes gave up 11 home runs in his first four outings (17 innings) last season, I can’t believe the held onto him either. Difference being that Burnes has elite stuff and looked great in 2018. Lauer just looks like a run of the mill junkball lefty with control issues.
  11. No doubt this has been the least enjoyable Brewers team in quite awhile. Not only are they bad but they are boring and a pretty unlikeable bunch.
  12. He's not this bad, but I don't really see the upside that others see, either. This isn't Josh Hader stuff. I’m not saying he’s Josh Hader (or ever will be) by any stretch, but I think he can been an okay backend starter or middle reliever. That isn’t exciting, but it also doesn’t deserve being called “garbage”. I know you are trying to be positive but you also seem to like Urias and both of them have been terrible.
  13. Yeah Lauer can throw 100 pitches tonight. Its obviously early but I can't imagine a trade looking any worse than this one has so far.
