  1. Two of our starters had a 5+ ERA a few days ago. But yes the offense has definitely been the biggest problem. We have two very good starters and a decent back end guy in Anderson plus 2 of the best relievers in the game. Thats enough to get you to the playoffs with any decent offense.
  2. I'd rather play him than Garcia. Garcia = disappointment 2 homers, 2 HOMERS. Pathetic. I hated the signing. He has been good two out of seven years. Definitely not someone the Brewers should pay 10 million.
  3. You do realize who the hitting coach who worked with Hiura last season was, right? Ok you've made the point that it makes no difference who the hitting coach is. If that is really true just eliminate the position altogether. This is not a talented lineup for the most part but when nearly the entire team is underperforming it might be time for a new voice.
  4. Haines should be fired alone for the awful seasons that Hiura and Narvaez have had. Its unbelievable how Narvaez went from being one of the top hitting catchers in baseball to hitting like Jeff Mathis. We also need someone good to work with Hiura who was great last season and still has tremendous talent.
  5. Holt has been a good player most of his career and we should have given him more of a chance. He has always been better than Peterson and Sogard but Counsell likes the other two for some reason.
  6. I will take my chances on Hiura getting hot over a lineup with both Peterson and Sogard in it. This is not the time to sit one of our only talented hitters.
  7. I actually agree with you in theory (I know, shocker), but I don't think it's gonna happen. For some reason, this doesn't seem to be the same Craig Counsell who made so many "outside the box" pitching adjustments in 2018. Counsell going the way of the traditional manager such as only using Hader as the 9th inning closer has been one of the most disappointing things of the 2020 season.
  8. Yelich starting to look like Yelich is something positive to take into the offseason.
