  1. We have one hit since the first inning. The bats have shockingly gone dead again.
  2. So the Dodgers are probably going to play the second place team in the playoffs. That should be a quick and easy win for the Dodgers.
  3. It doesn't make up for his error or the fact that he can't hit.
  4. I would have rather kept Smoak and had Gyorko play third every day than play Peterson.
  5. It was me and I'm disgusted with the way that Counsell has managed the team this season. Why can't they just play Gyorko at third and find a way to get Gamel in the game at first or one of the outfield positions. Vogelbach is clearly a DH only but that doesn't mean that Peterson should ever be in the lineup.
  6. Fair or not other than Gyorko not one player in this lineup has had a good season and the hitting coach has to take responsibility. If the argument is the hitting coach has no resposnsibility for all of his players not hitting fire him and don't even hire a replacement. I agree that the players are far more responsible for their success and failure but Haines adds nothing to the equation.

  9. He was fired as the scrubs assistant hitting coach. If this guy doesn't get fired there is absolutely no accountability whatsoever in this organization. I don't know who should replace Haines but I am fairly certain the results won't be any worse.

  12. No, he hit 13. Sogard’s average exit velocity this year is 84.6 mph which is in the bottom 4% of baseball. Urias’ average exit velocity is 88.7 mph which is the 50th percentile across baseball. That is also something he’ll likely continue to improve upon as he gets older and is further removed from the hamate bone injury. Sogard hitting 13 HRs just shows you how juiced the ball was. I really hope you are right about Urias.

  15. Its not time to panic yet but how can you not be concerned. Feels like he strikes out 2-3 times every game. I really hope its the knee and he comes back stronger next season but he has gone from MVP to almost unplayable overnight.

  18. He hit 19 home runs in less than 300 at bats at Triple-A last year. Yes, that was in hitters parks with a Mickey Mouse baseball, but you still don’t do that if you have no pop. His exit velocities have been solid enough to believe he’ll be able to drive the ball at some point. He’s also just turned 23 and is coming off a broken hamate bone which historically saps power in the short-term. I’m not worrying about it right now. Didn't Sogard hit 16 HRs last season. I hope you are right about Urias but I just don't see many extra base hits in that bat. If he hits 10-15 HRs with a bunch of doubles that would be great but it would be surprising.
