It is something that they guy they'd prefer Axford over is the guy we are hanging our hopes on.

Pretty, pretty close though. I am a DS guy and think he is a great GM. Maybe I'm wrong about the deadline deals.

DS isn't king midas and they picked up plenty of pitchers over the offseason that have been bad. They do make mistakes. Time will tell but the early returns aren't good.

Seems a little premature to make any determination about how good or bad they’re going to be for the Brewers. Is it? I mean Norris wasn't all that good to begin with and period of time that he was "better" wasn't enough to say is actually better than he had been. Curtiss really didn't have all that much of a track record. They needed to do better and didn't.

I thought the Norris trade was a headscratcher and theCurtiss trade was a good one. I may have been 100% wrong based on the very early and limited results.

I know this team isn't as star studded as maybe some teams of the past but this might be the most complete Brewers team of my lifetime.

And Stearns was astute enough to pick him up well before any other team made their "big" acquisitions. DS didn't wait, he made it happen. The other teams are just catching up.

Do you know what they are in Atlanta? My perception/ recollection is that the Brewers have lost a lot more series than they have won there over the last 10 years or so. Yah, we need a big bat.
