  1. Never would give Pom three innings, but somewhere on page 4 I said I would have used Hader for 2 or possibly 3 as the first man up, assuming Woodruff gave us a few. I would've gone Suter after that and play matchups as needed and left Pom for the 9th. He had shown far better control than Hader lately. Maybe they lose anyway but that would've been my plan. Not unreasonable at all.
  2. Hader is a more highly touted prospect than both but it became obvious he isn't a good closer and CC insisted. In a do or die game like this I don't know for the life of me why he had to pigeonhole him into that role. I can justify it over an entire season using him in the spot to get the most wins but there was no way in hell I would have used him like that tonight after the episode in Colorado, against the meat of the order in a 2-run game, as much as he's struggled to keep the ball in the park. Like I said, the result of Hader's appearance tonight was comically predictable, he should've entered that game in the 6th and his ass should have been on the bench with one guy on base. Something wasn't right for the last week and everyone could tell except the guy making the decisions. So your problem is actually with the manager?
  3. Can't have it both ways. Hader is here to stay like it or not. I'm aware and I don't like it, much like I didn't want him pitching the closer role in this game because he's wildly ineffective at doing so. I said I would have wanted him as my first guy out of the pen in this very thread. I was very confident in him doing this crap again. But call that a crap take if it makes you feel better about our savior trashing our season in consecutive appearances. I didn't call your takes crap. Childish, yes. Crap, no. Our season was trashed long ago. The opportunities were there and the TEAM failed to take advantage. To put all that on one guys is, well, simple.
  4. Yeah, he choked it away. It happens. You are saying Hader is done. That is just an astoundingly bad, wrong take. Sure. Just like it was with Jeffress. Who was totally, absolutely fine and just unlucky. Where is he playing now? Hader isn't, and never has been Jeffress.
  5. Thank you. His "take the league by storm" period has passed. He will be an utterly unreliable heart attack from here on out. I pass. If we're smart we should absolutely get rid of him now. For what? He sucks, right?
  6. You have had one crap take after another this week. Wow man, take a minute and maybe don't watch sports for awhile. I love how people want to kill a guy with a sub 2.7 era. We know what he is. Often a 1 pitch guy. Sometimes wild. It's obvious when he's wild and if you see that and pull him you limit the damage. He's not a closer. He is a pen weapon. Excellent take.
  7. No thanks. Hader is done. Just like Jeffress. Just like Turnbow. Just like the litany of 1-2 year relievers. Guy just cost us the division and season. He can go, I really couldn't care less. He sucked. Honestly can't believe we lost. Three hours thinking NLDS and blows it the second he comes in. You have had one crap take after another this week. Wow man, take a minute and maybe don't watch sports for awhile. Agreed.
