That's probably the biggest issue. They just don't have that big anchor in the lineup.

I'm just glad we have the gloat-y, vitriolic, angry, I told you so posts from the "positive" posters on this board or I'd have no idea how to be a real fan.

I'm guessing Sanchez outperforms there too.
  4. 82brewcrew82
Hit him leadoff and let him cook.

I think I read the other day that league average OPS is around .715. Sanchez is around .735 and Mitchell is around .685. I know which one I'm taking over the other in terms of offensive production. Couldn't care less about batting average.

I don't buy that lineup construction doesn't matter. Having said that, there are two issues. One is that the LHH on this team are not good. Second is the insistence that one of the LHH needs to hit lead off as often as possible.

Nor does it change that, at a minimum, there were questionable managerial decisions and the better pieces of the pen got blasted.
  8. 82brewcrew82
    Bad loss on multiple levels.
  9. 82brewcrew82
    Not at the end.
  10. 82brewcrew82
I hope Devin is OK. Incredibly short sighted decision tonight.

    Clown show Cardinals.
  12. 82brewcrew82
    Yes

Cubs are the Cubs but there is nothing I love more than demoralizing the Cards. You just know they were seriously considering this their last gasp series.

Credit where credit is due. Nice start by Montas. If he, CIvale and Peralta are going to get hot there is something special cooking.
  15. 82brewcrew82
Not sure I've every enjoyed watching a team play defense more than this team. Every night someone does something great with the glove.
  16. 82brewcrew82
    Just like Frelick.
  17. 82brewcrew82
    Get Megill back and cook
  18. 82brewcrew82
Nice. Statement series in my opinion.

    Second to no one.

    Tobiace gets through it.
  21. 82brewcrew82
He will forever be one of my heroes.
  22. 82brewcrew82
    Oh crap
  23. 82brewcrew82
    Nice job Adames.
  24. 82brewcrew82
Gotta give Freddy credit. Very nice start. Looking forward to the follow up effort.
