  1. Just because they aren't dong what you want doesn't mean they aren't trying.
  2. I would say doubling (or better) production is a massive improvement.
  3. Oooh, careful with that loose Weimer talk.
  4. Cool, don't have to face him the next three games.
  5. Explain to me how those two are not massive upgrades over the current production at 1B and DH.
  6. Don't know what I'm missing but Canha seems like a massive upgrade to the current DH production. Heck, put Yeli at DH and stick Canha in left and you've probably upgraded both sides of the ball.
  7. Still can. Play Canha in right and DH Hiura.
  8. What are the DH stats versus Canha's stats?
  9. To be fair, you were betting their last move was their last move.
  10. All of which tells me Manzardo is overrated. Rays just don't trade elite talent for that.
  11. And that is assuming nothing changes. I also trust the Rays ability to find and develop promising arms. My guess is they think they can fix something and turn a good pitcher into a very good one at the cost of a non-elite prospect.
  12. More nervous for this series than the Braves series. Kinda thought we'd get thumped by Atlanta. Gotta show something the next few series.
  13. This lineup being an extreme example. There aren't a lot of options here. Folks get all worked up over a hot stretch by this marginal player or that marginal player but this lineup really is the epitome of duct tape and bailing wire. They just cannot string enough quality at bats together ("good" players included) to really worry about the lineup construction.
  14. I trust the Rays judgement 100% of the time on things like this. If they believe the bloom is off of the Manzardo rose then it probably is.
  15. What has changed with Jackson form the first half to the second half that cannot be explained by decreased level of competition or different baseballs? Serious question. Has there been a mechanical adjustment or something like that?
  16. Super happy we spent whatever amount of money we spent on that Churio guy.
  17. An easy schedule has not necessarily correlated with success for this team.
  18. Kind of a make or break stretch for me. Obviously a lot of that has to do with what the Cubs and Reds do but if they can't go on a run here my expectations will take a further hit.
  19. Ah, this Brewers team was meant to break the mold.
  20. Of course. My mother, my wife. True ladies both and I have no qualms calling either one a lady.
