Glad to see no one thinks the Brewers are overpaying. Let's all support the players and hope they develop into champions. May take a few questionable signing and long development, but we're on the right path IMO.
Easy to say Braun is over paid, but I say he's a great player making below average money. Garza is over paid, but will be gone in 3 to 6 months. Thames?, Perez?
Glad that the Brewers brought up Scahill, even after his ill considered statements. Can see this happening all season with BP changing often. Started with 6 starter, now 5, can easily see starters going down with more change in SP.
Smart hitting is not a Brewer strong point for a long time. Got to question coaching. Must understand most Brewers are from other organizations, but maybe that's why other teams let players go.
One, MLB should assign a doctor to each team. Two, doctors should administer whatever, steroids, growth hormones etc., that is medically acceptable. Three, a few MLB doctors should monitor the team doctors for problems. Making players prolong injures is stupid.
Other than love of Kirk Nieuwenhuis, the active roster is full of potential. Love 3rd, SS, 2nd, 1st, C, LF, CF and RF. Starters are all competitors as are relievers. Should be fun season.
Big Gennett fan and think that Villar is a liability where ever he plays. Astros dumped Villar for what we're seeing now, no real baseball or team plays. Scooter might not steal 50 bases, but he'll score more runs and be a better team player than Villar.
Sad to see this. Scooter reminded me of Gantner. Hope Villar fields better at second than he did at short or third. Can't see Kurt N. being kept over someone who is younger and has upside, either bench or reliever.
