Hopefully Sogard can get back to hitting well and give this club a lift. Someone has to.

Broxton has all the defensive tools but needs to hit consistently. Hopefully he'll get on a roll in Colorado Springs and be back in September. Brinson might be ready but it looks like Phillips will get his shot.

Now Braun has a wrist problem. The guy's body is breaking down and every day is something else. He will never be someone to count on for the rest of his contract.

The Cubs lost. Finally! Now it is time for the Crew to get a win now that they have left Pittsburgh. A win in Philly please.

Well, the Pirates are a hot team right now and everything fell in for them. The Crew needs to go to Philly and start hitting with men in scoring position. A different umpiring crew will help too. Still in first place and the Cubs are off today. So there's that.

We currently have 6 players on our 25 man roster 25 and under. One barely pitches (Hader), one barely plays (Phillips) one is a good defensive shortstop with a bad bat, another is a reliever, another is a starter who tonight notwithstanding has been horrible and another is a really good hitter but kind of a bad defensive outfielder. I would hardly say we have very good young players on this roster. Shaw, Santana, Aguilar, Arcia, Nelson, Knebel, Hader are all very good young players and are keepers IMO. Broxton is a defensive specialist best used as a replacement at the end of close games. I'm afraid that is what he is. Villar, I just don't know about him. He makes such stupid decisions sometimes but he was great last year. Off year this year. I just don't know. I'm glad he turned down the extension. Also add Perez. He can play multiple positions and very well. Another keeper.

I don't think it's time to blow up this team. They have very good young players with great chemistry. This team needs help obviously but Stearns needs to add giving up mid to lower level prospects, not break up the Crew.

Broxton makes great plays but he just can't hit. CC needs to make a decision about the CF position.

This loss is tough. Davies was pitching so well. Arcia with that error. Hughes back in Pittsburgh and they beat him. Cubs win. It ain't easy right now.

That wasn't a strike and Travis has a right to be mad. CC gets tossed too. This game is getting out of hand.

Yes, Shaw is a big reason this team has been in first place so far. He has come into his own with the Brewers. Also I think a better manager and a better coaching staff has helped him too. He has always had the power but this year he's hitting for average and even stealing bases.

I'm not ready to say it was fun while it lasted, but things are not going well right now. Thames needs to get going. Buxton is great defensively but is hurting the team with his lack of hitting.

All the Red Sox fans comments. One made a comment about the coaching staff over there. I think the Brewers hitting coach might be a better one.
