What is the fascination with a #5 starter who will ONLY make $5 million and can't get anyone out and the bullpen has to come in by the 4th inning each and every time! Garza is not worth it. Just give the game away and the other team has batting practice. I can't believe the thinking there. He's done as a good pitcher. He left that in Tampa.

Jesus saves this win and Barnes almost lost it. CC keeps on putting Barnes in there and as usual he makes us wish he wasn't. Woodruff is a keeper.

Broxton reminds me of Jackie Bradley Jr. of the Red Sox. Both excellent and flashy centerfielders but are streaky hitters. They are frustrating to watch when swinging at bad pitches and striking out a lot. Then sometimes they can hit homers and win a game for you with the bat.

If Garza doesn't want to help the team by going to the pen then they should release him. He isn't any good as it is and he probably wouldn't be any good in the pen with a bad attitude either. Be better off to just get rid of him.

Garza sucks! Pick up his option people. Are you out of your minds. Let him go. His Tampa days as a good pitcher are over.

I think both Levering and Grindle are both boring and agree they are really play-by-play guys. I will miss Ueck on this west coast trip.

Uecker makes me laugh and I enjoy his game calling. He's not always perfect. The other day Hernan replaced Keon in centerfield and Ueck kept calling Broxton in center making the play. But, he is passionate about baseball and his Brewers and I like that.

Uecker's call on that was unbelievably bad. I still don't know what happened. He has gotten to be just awful. I know what you mean but Ueck did say two out so then we knew. He is and will always be my favorite in the booth. I will forgive a lot.

Knebel for the save. Struck him out swinging. Yay!
  10. rcc
Great play by Shaw. Ueck liked that one! Sogard and Perez almost collided but all is good.
  11. rcc
I can't either. Ueck and the radio guys have mentioned it. The tv guys have mentioned it. We are not complaining for the sake of complaining.

Another big hit from Pina two days in a row! Home run for the lead and Knebel coming up.

Bad umpiring has plagued the Crew all year. Do they hate the former commissioner/former owner and taking it out on the team! What could it be. Now 6-5 Pittsburgh. Darn!
  14. rcc
Not an error but not a good play by Santana. Oy!
  15. rcc
Another homer for Broxton and tied again. If it weren't for those errors the Crew would be on top. Hopefully those errors won't screw up this game.

Gone for Travis Shaw to tie this game! His 26th!
  17. rcc
Walker!!! First Brewer home run. Keep them coming guys.
  18. rcc
Keon gets his 18th homer of the year. More of that Crew. It's needed today.

Jimmy doesn't have it today. The offense has to wake up and start hitting to make a game of it. But Cole is a tough pitcher. Only one hit so far. I hope Braun is available to pinch hit if needed.

My guess would be that he was wearing some Mets gear given that he made it to Milwaukee pretty quick....but that's just that...a guess. Good guess. I hadn't thought of that but it does make sense since he came right over.

Knebel with the last out. A 2 game winning streak! Day off tomorrow then back at it. Now I may read the Optimism thread again.
  22. rcc
Uecker said on today's game that when Walker showed up for the game today that he didn't like Walker's attire. Then he laughed. Anyone know what he's talking about? What could Neil have worn that Uecker found so funny?
  23. rcc
Another Duval home run. Just like Thames loves hitting against Cincy, Duval loves the Brewers.
  24. rcc
Walker taking a banged up Shaw's place at third. Now Walker just got a hit in his debut. Standing O from the fans. This guy is going to be a good addition. 2-0 Brewers. Game is off to a good start.

Villar making things happen and scores. Why couldn't he be doing this all year.
