Bandy needs to start hitting. He's too close to the .200 mark right now.
-
I don't mind the overhead clap. It gets the guys on the bench up and moving.
-
Chase settling down after that first inning.
-
Travis is very strong. He hit some homers last year in Fenway that were among the farthest hit ever.
-
Yay Travis got one out. The Crew are hitting today.
-
Arcia the star of this game. Game winning defensive play and he is now hitting .267. Whatever this team needs to be a contender they don't need a shortstop. The Crew has a special one who can field with the best of them. Drake for the win and of course Knebel for the save. I've been down on Drake but sometimes the guy can deliver and he did tonight.
-
Good post. I agree.
-
I'm liking Hader so far. He hasn't pitched much but yesterday he did well and still hasn't given up a run. Jimmy had a very ace-like pitching performance but the two starters after him have faltered. Hopefully tonight the Crew gets back on the winning track. The Cubs are waking up and are only .5 back of the Brewers for first place.
-
Exactly.
-
Hey, Franklin did good! He can't field or throw but he can hit it out apparently.
-
Sogard left stranded. This is going to be a long night if they keep that up.
-
Davies is a disaster tonight. Franklin didn't do him any favors in the field. Along with Peralta Franklin doesn't belong on this team.
-
And the old friend who now pitches for the Pirates did a better job than the one they kept. Maddening!
-
Bring up the kids! Peralta the next to go Stearns. What are you waiting for!
-
Shaw hits one out for the lead and Garza promptly gives up two runs. His pitch count is high and the bullpen will be in use early for this game. Such a difference from last night.
-
Struck him out swinging! Complete game for Jimmy. Yay! 2-1 win and what a beauty.
-
Hader should have gone in.
-
Okay guys, get this game won for Knebel.
-
Knebel has 63 strikeouts so far this year. Wow!
-
"Another stupid fan," says Ueck. Why do people run out into the field. Too many Miller Lights?
-
Got out of that one.
-
Time for a change. Anderson getting tired. 96 pitches so far.
-
This kid now has 12 strikeouts. The Padres have a good one in him even though he did give up those two homers.
-
Jeff on the radio talked about the roof from a report from the Padres' dugout.
-
What! Now they're complaining about the roof closing and that's why the balls were hit deep. Don't they know that this team can hit homers anytime and anywhere.
