    Whoa...I was just scrolling through these posts in reverse order and didn't expect to come across one from myself.. And in case any of you were wondering, I wasn't out all night..there's a 14-hour time difference between where I am now and CDT. So yes...it must be comforting to know that there are Brewers fans that are 'Paddled' at any given time of the day.

    When were you on t.v.? Had standing room seats in CF..in the 2nd inning or so, the cameraman turned around and told a group of us that we were on in 3..2..1. We were standing right where Fielder's HR landed. Too bad I didn't record the game..I'm considering purchasing/downloading the game on mlb.com for that, and obviously to watch the two HRs over and over..and over again.

    That game was the most memorable game I've ever been to. 2004 Cy Young winner on the mound, Rickie and Prince's 1st HRs, got on TV, a huge crowd that really was into the game..

    That's when I realized how serious the situation was, when Brian contacted the coach at whatever college that guy was claiming to have played for. I tried to stay away from those 7 page feuds, so I didn't know that it came down to that...What did you find out? I understand if you don't want to give out the details, but it would be nice to know if he was the all-knowing all-star that he claimed himself to be.

    BadgerFan - I didn't realize that players can go on your (crap) list on an interim basis. Thought you meant that you wanted Overbay run out of town or something. I guess not. That's a good thing. Just to get things straight, I by no means am defending poor play. But it just seems that certain players seem to have a stigma attached to them solely due to their performance in April. One look at the stats will tell you that a statement like "Phelps is the worst RP on the team" is just not correct. Helms hasn't been doing all that badly as of late either, in limited playing time. Now with that said, I am by no means saying that they are excused from their previous performances (Phelps' early April, Helms' 0-for-Forever to start the season) and Phelps' implosion this afternoon. But it just seems like some people on this board go out of their way to want these two guys to fail, and pounce at every moment possible to criticise them. I just don't like that very much.

    So for some, Overbay goes from being a fan favorite to "the (crap) list" in a span of a month. Step off the ledge and put things in perspective folks. Horrible game today, hard games to swallow all three games of the series. We played a hot team, and the offense is struggling. There will be more games to play. Maybe having a DH will shake things up, and playing in Tampa always helps. Why are they so in love with Phelps while Adams is rotting down in AAA?! Maybe because he hadn't given up a single run since mid-April?

    Didn't get a chance to watch or listen to the game, and I'm too tired to scroll through this game thread tonight..so I apologize if this has already been mentioned. But yeah, I watched the replay of A-Rod's 400th HR, and saw that Miller Park gave him a standing ovation. Very good to see. Stay classy Milwaukee!

    For those of you that have turned off FSN, you missed some good humor when Bernie Brewer tried stopping Bob Brainerd from going down the slide, but Bob ran over and did it anyway.

    Wallus - The Berkman guy was in my section (233), not yours. Every time Berkman did something, he would stand up and try to start a chant. Nobody did anything, yet he kept trying.. Berniebrewer - I know that this isn't your area of responsibility, but the P.A. system in the left field bleachers was pretty much inaudible during the 7th inning stretch. I know that many people have complained about it..but I thought it was particularly bad last night. And good to see that you allowed people to remind those Cubs fans which stadium they are in. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

    Were you the guys in left field with 'Go Brewers' on one side and "OOOO" on the back? Also, a quick shout-out to the guy in the left field corner that repeatedly tried to start an "O-ver-rated" chant directed toward Berkman..when no one else is following your lead, I think you should get the message.

    I notice that some of the 'Off-topic' threads have ratings on them, while others don't. Just curious about how these ratings are given (page views? replies?) and why they don't exist in the MLB thread. If they did exist in the MLB thread, you could warn me in advance of bridge-jumping, "I can't watch this crap anymore", panic-button threads by giving them a negative-three baseball rating. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif ...

    Although moving Hardy to the 2-spot would be an interesting change, I doubt it will happen. No specific reason..just don't see it happening. Maybe because it makes too much sense. Or maybe it's because with the number of balls he taps in to play, he is a walking GIDP? I think moving Branyan to RF is questionable, especially considering his bum shoulder right now. I also think it's interesting how people's tolerance for bad play is much higher for Jeff Cirillo than it is for say, Bill Hall. Both have been equally abysmal this year.. Spivey - He had some bad ABs last series and I remember calls by some to send him down to the bottom of the order. Where you guys at now? Although we've made the likes of Jeff Suppan look like Cy Young himself, I'm not on the "fire Wynegar" bandwagon just yet. Honestly..who would we hire to replace him? I say wait until June, at the earliest. Players haven't even had 100 ABs yet and things will even themselves out..

    Yeah. I'm going to go ahead and say the magic words a couple times too, just to jinx it. Watch the next Brewers hitter smack it out of the park. And Capuano looks like he is playing cricket with that "pitch"..
