  1. Someone will pick him up because he can pitch. It won't be MIL, but if they had 2 fewer SP's, it might be.
  2. There's only about 5 teams out of playoff contention right now, they'll be 12-15 by the end of July. That's why so few deals get done until then.

  5. Ichiro is barely above average for a corner OF, and Prince is 23. Before you even figure in anything else, that trade is lopsided right there. he didn't score, but That pretty much says it all right there.
  6. This is pretty much what teams look like when they make changes midseason, it simply shows a lack of planning. The Mets may have taken it to a new low, bu it seems rather obvious that the braintrust is not planning to win, they are making reactionary moves based on everything except a long-term blueprint. It's just a shame really, and makes me glad we have Doug Melvin running things.
  7. Hughes is very likely better than Yo...you're not going to find a better draft pick than that.
  8. No interest, he's a permanent member of the all-overrated team, and his pay is not his ability, but his marketing value. SEA has sucked for years because they overvalue guys like Ichiro.
  9. Why would he not? CC is younger and better.
  10. Those Brewers Crocs may be the nicest shoes I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever paid more than $30-35 for a pair of shoes in my life, but I just might to get those. EDIT: They are only $35, so I can still keep my "why pay that much for shoes" streak in tact.
  11. Hughes has been rushed, he's the best pitching prospect in MLB, or I suppose, maybe top 3. People gave up on Eveland too, even though he was just 22. Hughes is oodles better than Eveland, he just is not ready to put up a 3 ERA...yet.
  12. Taverez has been lights out and very hittable. I gotta think DiFelice will be the easy move first, but after that, it'll be tough. Julian certainly has a lot of talent, but is likely a Matt Wise type, better not pitching more than an inning or 2 days in a row.
  13. I tried to walk in mine tonight, and right away, my feet felt like they were sweaty, so I had to put on socks. Other than that, I'm amazed at how soft they were, very comfy. As for the other stuff, my dad never wore anything besides work shoes and dress shoes, and wondered why anyone would. As he got older, he discovered how much more comfy tennis shoes were, and never wore anything else the last decade of his life. Anyone worrying about how they look and such has either never had sore feet, or still is extremely succeptible to peer pressure. I gave that up 2+ decades ago. Years ago, when I broke my little toe, I had to wear slippers at work because the rubbing was very painful. I got a doctor's note, and in 2 weeks, not a single customer, employee, or member of management even mentioned it. Trust me, no one gives a rat's behind what your shoes look like.
  14. Joba is in the rotation, he will not be dealt. Hughes would have to be a straight up deal. Considering they would then get 2 draft picks, they would come out on top. Hughes is unlikely to be dealt as well.
  15. Choate will be in the minors barring injury/ineffectiveness. They do not need a reliever at the moment.
  16. You can't teach velocity. That said, you don't give up on guys that throw 95 until you absolutely have to.
  17. People with bad feet cannot wear flip flops...they cause too much pain. I can't even wear boat shoes anymore. It's not a good thing having such high arches that the poster in the podiatrist's office showing high arches aren't even close to as high as mine. You know you're unique when the foot doc goes, "Wow, those are high arches".
  18. If they are so comfy, I agree, they should be required wearing. Mine are a bit too small, so my wife has to return them for the next size up, so I can't report on it yet.
  19. Heh. The Twins have more errors than the Brewers, despite the fact they never get a bad hop at home and the Crew has Eddie Error as their official scorer. Aaron Gleeman sees the Twins play every day and says they make tons of mental errors. I'll take those "fundamentals" and toss them aside. They do not exist, other than Joe Mauer, who is as good as it gets.
  20. My wife bought me a pair for Father's Day. If they are half as comfy as she says, you bet.
  21. Maybe a better way of saying it is they use better roads, not close ones. Back when they redid 14 by Richland Center a few years ago, the official detour was 80 to Muscoda and 60 to Gotham...about 20 miles. There are many county roads that are far faster, but they are not able to handle much traffic. The locals all took different routes.
  22. If I knew the area, I'd take a detour much like he said. Not knowing it, I'd stick to the official one, as one wrong turn, and I'd need a cartographer.
  23. So naturally, you feel compelled to click on it and post your feelings image And as a mod, he will tell others not to do the same thing.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  24. I would guess yoiu were supposed to get $900...and for some reason, they had you as underpaying by $52.
  25. End, I'm not even sure what you're saying. Schneider, as shown above, is very close to an "average" MLB C, Rivera gets out 71% of the time. One has a $5M contract, one would probably clear waivers tomorrow even though he makes near minimum. I won't argue Schnieder is overpaid, but welcome to a world where even mediocre catchers are prized.
