  1. If you are expecting rational discourse, the in game thread during a bad loss is not the place to go. I know but it honestly comes from a select few that can’t watch a baseball game and not go all emotional every time something doesn’t go our way. Look back through the IGT’s over the past few games and you’ll notice a select few are missing from the discussions and things were great. They come out of the woodwork frequently and often as of late and it just drags this place down so much. It’s just a shame. But you are right. People should be bipolar about this team. They are contending for the division and they have 3 relievers and 3 starters at the moment? You get excited when the cream of the crop carries the team to another win. Reality sinks in when they don't. Buy or sell, this team is a long long way from winning anything significant this year. Unless of course, STL and CHI give it to them.
  2. Young guns... I'd buy it. I've heard it time after time... Arcia hits a HR, well here comes a cold streak. and F U Happ. 3 BBs and you turn on the ump for the called 3rd strike when it clipped the edge.
  3. If there was something Arcia could do that would make him a .290 hitter, I'm sure he would do that thing. He's just not that good. His quiet footed oppo 2 strike approach could make him at .290 hitter. He'd just be a singles and doubles at best guy. He also walked more waiting back on the pitch instead of trying to be a slugger. Guy had spells when that was working where he hit north of 300. It's just gone for some freaking reason.
  4. Not sure why Arcia didn't stick with his 2 strike approach from the past. He could be a .290/325/700 hitter with it. He's never going to slug enough to make this attempt work.
  5. Oddly, the only one of those I really care to cut is Braun. The difference between Braun and Gamel/Grisham would be so insignificant. The salary is not.
  6. They got a Claudio too. Our 3 RHs... nothing.
  7. 3 that shouldn't have hit the board... no matter what they want to score it as. Horrible.
  8. Here comes the pen... Braun vs Q was dangerous but the sooner this pen comes in the better. Really need another 2 here... get into their head
  9. Good job Pina Lets get some Bugs Bunny advance the runner stuff going.
  10. These last 2 games have been a lot of fun but its really hard to have any faith in this team with Woodruff hurt, Davies being what he is, Gio's age, Chacin being toast. Anderson and Davies can be the 3-4 arms, but our 1 or 2 is hurt and we don't have the other one. I hope Stearns has the balls to sell if the right offer is there for Thames Grandal or Moose.
  11. He's the MLB equivalent of my youth pitching career. Annoyed and kept good hitters off kilter... got smashed by crumby hitters who were excited to see something soft.
  12. Q knows how to pitch to Hiura Davies meatball to Schwarber was exactly where you pitch him... when you don't throw 88mph
  13. Yeah if you wanted to say Braun Yelich Hiura Moose Grandal Braun Yelich Grandal Moose Hiura I'd listen. I'm not leaving Cain up there if we aren't leading him off.
  14. I disagree. The Brewers roster has two types of players...players under achieving and players achieving what’s expected of them. There really isn’t anyone overachieving, which shows you were better than we’ve been playing. Edit) the one player you might say is exceeding expectations is Thames That's fine. The team is better than you are playing. So you want to chase the playoffs in a year where you are underachieving? Or do you want to trade Moose Grandal Thames Jeffress and Albers/Guerra and see if what's left can heat up and get in? Cain Yelich Hiura Grisham Braun (1B) Shaw Nottingham Arica Woodruff Davies Anderson Gio and pick a flier Hader Houser Peralta Claudio Barker Devin Chacin Burch If you are going to play 500 baseball this long who do you think comes in the door and fixes it? The team looks gassed and has no momentum.
  15. But you can't fix this now without going all in and its not the proper time. The team has 3.5 starters and 3.5 relievers. I always looked back at Houston and went... remember how they burst on the scene... then missed the playoffs the next year.... only to win the WS in the 3rd year. Feels like the Brewers right now. The team is not playing up to expectations... do you blow assets to chase the playoffs for a team that barely has the gas to get there? I'd much rather give Williams and Barker a spot in the pen and see if they can catch fire and stabilize this mess. I'd honestly consider selling. Grandal, Moose, Jeffress and Thames have some value. Albers for a ticket. Call up Shaw Nottingham Barker Williams and asset load for a year that looks better.
  16. He's already red hot with 1 hit tonight. BA up 18 points!
  17. Jay Jackson sashay and walk away. Burch Smith, you get a rose, you have earned the garbage man role. Burch 6 outings... 4 good, 1 meh, 1 disaster
