  1. Yes, this team is good enough to make the playoffs. Right now. The pitching is legit. Now, advancing in the playoffs is a different story. But this team, as it stands, is a playoff team. There's no reason, other than pessimism, to believe it isn't. Sure, they've fatten up on some bad teams, but they've generally looked fine against decent to good teams for the most part.
  2. You mean the same guy who was mentioned by some as should be getting starts ahead of Yelich? That guy? LOL
  3. Well...I certainly hope they do eventually. That's kind of the long-term goal in mind here. We are seeing that pitching and defense isn’t enough. Hopefully Attanasio and Stearns can find a way to acquire some offense this off-season so we don’t completely waste our window of good starting pitching. Enough for what? Make the playoffs? Because this team is a division champion if the season ended today. For all the consternation so far, the pitching/defense approach has worked.
  4. Well, you're at a site called brewerfan.net, and the team is in 1st place by a decent margin. I'm guessing the number of people who genuinely do believe that is substantially higher around these parts.
  5. In the whole scheme of the season, this is correct. Doesn't help it not suck in the moment, though.
  6. I think part of the reason I hate the Reds so much is because they have Nick Castellanos on their team. I wanted the Brewers to sign him in the worst way a couple offseasons ago. Now he's a Brewer killer. Figures.
  7. The cleat portion of his shoe is 3/4 of an inch tall. I don't know how "absolutely" can be determined from the angles provided.
  8. Nowhere in that view could you see that his cleat was not in contact with the bag. You are assuming it was. But that is not the definition of definitive. It appears you are being contrarian simple for the sake of it.
  9. Give me Strickland and possibly Cousins and Sanchez (need to see a little more from them) as the number three option in the bullpen. Boxberger has 37 innings pitched as a Brewer this season. Strickland, Cousins and Sanchez have 28 innings as Brewers combined. All three have looked good so far, but that is the definition of a small sample size.
  10. LOL, good call! Is the constant negative energy thing a message board schtick, or is this really how you are in real life?
  11. Looks like the County Stadium "video" board circa 1994. Complete with the pixelated player photos. Cheesy, but whatever I guess.
  12. Yep ... Woody's command is just about toast. Gutsy performance. Time for the bats to pick him up.
  13. Woody is gonna get a long break after today. It wouldn't surprise me if they pushed him 100+ pitches today, provided he remains at lease somewhat effective. So he isn't scheduled to start the first game after the break? They haven't set the rotation yet. Might depend on if Burnes or Peralta throw in the AS game.
