  1. 3rd and long ... with the Seahawks having a TO, do you run it and make them take it, or try for the 1st down here?
  2. Wow ... that wasn't good. Tough throwing away the ball there.
  3. HUGE 3rd down sack. Major, major play.
  4. Probably the worst time ever to uncork a 25-yard punt.
  5. They simply cannot have another quick 3-and-out on offense. Need to put a long drive together, and preferably score some points.
  6. Couple of delayed blitzes have confused the Packers. They gotta go to some quicker hitters.
  7. This might be one of the funnest NFL games of the season.
  8. As I was saying .... LOL
  9. LOL, this game is crazy!
  10. Never underestimate the idiocy of Bill O'Brien.
  11. This Chiefs offense can get electric in a hurry. They aren't out of this yet.
  12. Agreed ... he is king of the turds.
  13. Probably. The Brewers were seeking a proven matchup lefty, and Claudio fit the bill. Torres-Costa will likely get an opportunity at some point this season, but he hasn't proven anything outside of one year of albeit very good minor league numbers. He's a guy to keep an eye on to see if he can replicate those results in AAA this year.
  14. What if he was hired after the New Orleans game. I suppose that may partially explain the terrible game plan. Mind in other places.
  15. So what about Stefanski's absolutely atrocious offensive game plan yesterday against the 49ers convinced the Browns that he was the perfect choice for their head coaching job?
  16. When you have enough guys out there who can maximize their strengths, it very much can get you a championship. I personally would have loved to see what this team could have done had they been able to escape that Wild Card game, because that was a team that was full of guys maximizing their strengths. Get to the playoffs, and all bets are off. In the end, as much as we may not want to admit it, this is the way they are going to build. They had the opportunity to get Grandal and Moose on short deals last year, and while I'm very happy they took advantage of that opportunity, those deals simply aren't going to happen every season. So what we are left with is taking flyers on guys who have had proven big league success, but had down seasons for whatever reason last year. I will say one thing ... this is really Stearn's first opportunity to remake this squad in the image he wants. If they are a top-flight contender this season, that's all on him. Likewise if they are bad. I personally feel they will be a contender, but I can certainly see a chance for doom and gloom as well. It's shaping up to be an extremely interesting year.
  17. Really? Yelich, Garcia, Smoak, Hiura, Braun and Narvaez are all pretty good bets to put up 20+ HRs, if not 30 apiece for several of them. I'd imagine that a Gyorko/Sogard platoon can hit 20 between them if healthy. Urias has power potential. I worry more about situational hitting with this group than power. The power is going to be fine.
  18. Exactly. We just don't know. I don't expect that, but it doesn't mean it can't happen.
  19. Well, you've been picking against the Packers all season. I'd think I'd be scared if you predicted a Packers win.
  20. Nobody does. He has been a 440 PA guy from 25-29 because he's always nicked up. The back was spasms. There's a long history of tissue issues with him that have cost him time here and there. That'll continue. He's not going to play a full season. Wonder why MKE added him to platoon 3b with Sogard? The NBA calls it load management. The new 26 man roster allows you to manufacture 2 positions. I think 440 PA from both covers all of 3b and then some. I'll happily trust the MKE medical staff and DS on this one over your hunch that he's toast which is fueled by bias because you wanted someone else. People are excited about his platoon capabilities at 3b, which he plays solid defensively, in the smaller half of the platoon. No one's expecting an All Star. He's here to abuse LHP and play 3b for 65-75 starts this year. That's 3 games a week. If Eric Sogard bats 440 times the Brewers are in serious trouble. Sogard had 400 ABs last year. If he matches those numbers, it would be the opposite of serious trouble. Personally the prospect of that doesn't excite me, but saying something like this in absolutes is a folly as well.
  21. How many dingers is Jesus gonna hit for the Rays this year? . I think Jesus may help the Rays get a new stadium. Some of his ridiculously high flies will either puncture the roof or hit the catwalks, causing a ripple effect in which the entire stadium will come down (Death Star-like) You miss the point. Jesus is a Marlin now.
