  1. The Chiefs may have something to say about that.
  2. Not converting that 2-point conversion was huge, though. Still a three-possession game. The Ravens D has gotta get off the field here pretty quick to keep any sliver of hope alive.
  3. Dare I say this one may be approaching over now. Wow!
  4. I have to think when the pick was made that they were planning on this year being more of a transition year than a contending year. So they went with who they saw as having the most upside rather than necessarily who they saw helping in 2020. I think had they seen 13-3 coming this year, they might have gone in a different direction. Just my own speculation, nothing else. Simmons was seen as a top 5 talent, but was injured and slated to to miss a big chunk of the season. He managed to make a pretty quick recovery, though, and has been a big contributor for the Titans. He'd look dreamy on that line with Lowery and Clark.
  5. Jeffrey Simmons at #12 would have been a really nice pick. I think Gary has a nice future ahead of him, but Simmons is going to be a stud in the NFL for a long time.
  6. viewtopic.php?f=73&t=39344 A reminder that taking an aggressive tone tends to be met with snark and more negativity. Not criticizing, because I'm guilty of doing this as well. I too am very skeptical of Gyorko, but it is possible to point out your skepticism without the "Jerkstore" and hyperbolic ideas.
  7. He is throwing a ton of flutter balls tonight. I watched him quite a this year (fantasy football purposes) and this is pretty abnormal. I don't know if it's rust from the week off or what, but this is as bad as Jackson has looked all season. He's been pretty consistently great up until today. There were a few games where he didn't throw for a ton of yards, but he typically had huge rushing games in those ones.
  8. I don't expect it to last, but wow! It appears that the Ravens may have been overlooking the Titans a bit.
  9. What team have you been watching? GB's run defense has been very good in the 2nd half of the season.
  10. The Vikings obviously stayed in Minnesota. I thought for sure that after the showing they had against New Orleans last week that they would at least give San Fran a game. But I was wrong. I suppose their defense has played well enough to keep the score close, but this is a full on drubbing otherwise. Also, the Vikings apparently don't have an offensive line. Wow!
  11. Unless the Vikings can suddenly figure out how to move the ball, they are likely done. They came out with a very vanilla offensive game plan.
  12. It bothers be that Raheem Mouseturd, a crappy journeyman backup who has been on and off rosters the last few years, is suddenly good. I mean, I guess he just needed an opportunity, but sheesh.

  14. Bourne was a nice find for the 49ers. Guy looks pretty legit.

  16. Most people whiffed on their Packer-related predictions before the season started. I know I certainly didn't predict the number of wins they got. They did get them, though, and the wins were legit. The Packers had no control over who they played and when they played them.

  18. This is spot on. The Packers finally said "Enough's enough" on Favre's waffling, and who could blame them? That crap was getting incredibly old. Favre is/was a legend, and did deserve special treatment. What he was doing, though, was basically holding the team hostage every year. It probably could have been less messy, but that crap was all Favre.

  20. How many dingers is Jesus gonna hit for the Rays this year? You have chosen some odd hills to die on over the years, and this is one of the oddest ones.

  22. Here were the predictions I made before Week 1. The team’s health probably accounts for most of the difference between their 13-3 record and my 9-7 prediction. Not dropping a close game to the Lions also helped. That seemed to be a characteristic of recent underachieving Packer teams. Relative health doesn't equate to a 4 win difference in record, though. one or two games I could see. Not 4. This team was overall batter than your prognostication. You aren't alone, though. I saw 10-11 wins best case, and I was wrong as well. You nailed many of the other predictions, but clearly missed on several. 1) Obviously 13-3 is way better then 9-7. 2) He is! And those numbers are pretty close. 3) King stayed healthy, and was productive for the most part. He gets a bad rap, but when healthy, the guy is pretty good. 4) Nope. Aaron Jones maintained his health all season, and Williams was a capable fill in. Basically a redshirt year for Dexter. Carson is a Lion now. 5) Kumerow wouldn't need any TDs to be a folk hero in lily white Wis. 6) Yep. Savage was a nice addition. Gary showed flashes, but the health at the edge spot meant he didn't see the field much. 7) Jenkins is a stud. Good call. 8) Well, they certainly tried. Lions wouldn't let them have it. 9) Vikings were better than expected. Not a great team, but have enough talent to surprise.

  24. Well, 2nd quarter was shaky, but they ended up winning by 21. With the MVP playing a somewhat minor role. I'm not real sure where they are lost.
