Is it possible to see less of Freitas? I suppose they could park him in witness protection with Nottingham, but the guy only has a handful of PH appearances.

Shaw is just guessing up there at the plate. He's completely lost. This team needs Moose back and healthy.

With Moose and Hiura down, and Arcia away from the team, they literally have no other options. Zero. That's why he's playing. I understand that they may feel that way but if in an organization of over 200 players?? It is likely that any one of them would be better. Too bad the Jung ho Kang deal fell through. He would be better. At least on the field. Pickings are pretty slim. It's arguable whether someone like Jake Hager or Nate Orf would be any better than Shaw. At least Shaw provides a solid glove at 3B.

BA certainly made it sound cryptic. Until we hear otherwise, though, I'm going to assume its a bruise. Radio said Stearns will have statement on Yelich after the game. If it was just a contusion it doesn’t seem like they’d wait until after the game If it were just a contusion, Stearns wouldn't be making the statement. I mean ... would he?

According to the Twittersphere, there won't be any update on Yelich until after the game. *gulp
