  1. With Moose and Hiura down, and Arcia away from the team, they literally have no other options. Zero. That's why he's playing. Freitas? As much fun as it would be to play a 30-year-old career minor league catcher at 3B, this isn't MLB The Show.

  3. BA certainly made it sound cryptic. Until we hear otherwise, though, I'm going to assume its a bruise.
  4. The response form his lawyer reads all kinds of shady.
  5. I'm all for this team staying under the radar and 2006 Cardinals-ing their way to a title.
  6. Granted Yelich has been great lately, but really this team is playing well because of a bunch of no-names and role players. I expect that to continue.
  7. So what you're saying is that your outlook isn't exactly rosy? I'm jaded. Similar scenario happened to Ben Sheets, causing him to miss his first year of free agency, and keeping the Brewers from getting a 1st round compensation pick back. Crappy luck like that dooms teams who don't have a huge amount of resources.
  8. Milwaukee Brewers @Brewers RHP Devin Williams has been recalled from Double-A Biloxi. Active roster is now at 36 players. The only player on the 40-man roster who is healthy and not active is Trey Supak. Tyler Saladino ended the AAA season on the 7-day IL, and the only reason I can figure that they haven't activated and DFA'd him is he must be close to being healthy enough to return. Of course Woodruff and Hiura are in the MLB 10-day IL. Roster will likely be at 38 players once they return. Supersized bullpens are fun! "You get an inning, you get an inning, everyone gets an inning!"
  9. Just keep taking these a game at a time. Win enough of 'em, and good things will happen.
  10. I'm guessing 10 would do it. Too bad. I still have hope for some reason. Yeah, that's kinda where I'm at too. I hope he has a fulltime room at their pitching lab this offseason and someone can figure out what happened to make him go off the rails so drastically. He probably has the best raw stuff in the organization, so it would be a huge shame if they can't get him right. I have hope as well.
  11. Faria is worse. I don't like telling people that they are flat out wrong, but the shoe fits really well right here. What has Burnes done this season to say that he's a better choice than anyone to pitch in a game right now?
  12. So how big would he lead have to be for Burnes to get an inning? 7 runs? 10? I don't know if there is a safe number for him.
  13. Black looks like a heavy in a '90s spy thriller.
  14. Wow, if you asked me who holds the Brewers rookie record for most hits in a game, Keon Broxton would have probably been my infinity-ith choice.
  15. Ray Black is still fun. He's going to be the one that I think is going to make us not miss Dubon long term Although having Dubon at SS right now would probably be nice.
  16. How can it be a slump if there is no baseline? He's had some solid games, but hasn't been great since he came up. Perhaps overmatched is harsh. He hasn't been an embarrassment, but he hasn't been good either. His numbers indicate that he's been a bit below mediocre. But he is young and the sample is small. And like I said, I believe he's going to be a good player for this team eventually. I think what we are seeing tonight is possibly/hopefully a taste of what's to come.
  17. Before tonight, yeah. I don’t think you really believe that. But I could be wrong. He puts up good at bats, and all the potential is there. I truly do think he's going to be a good player eventually. But for the most part, coming into tonight, he hasn't been very good. The numbers don't lie.
