  1. This was the perfect lineup to put up there against Darvish. I applaud Counsell for putting it together. The lack of execution is 100% on the players.
  2. Darvish is the exact type of pitcher this team is built to slap around. If they can't get the bats going today, it might be all she wrote.
  3. Good call Joey, since he just went 6 innings for the Astros no hitter! Yeah ... disappointing. Sanchez would have been a perfect reclamation guy. Huge talent, but in need of a change of scenery. I am hopeful that Faria shows that he also has that type of talent.
  4. I don't know man. That's the hyperest of hyperboles.
  5. Didn’t we have a post show that our stats and record are damn sad the same against both hands? Yes, but the premise is flawed anyway. The team is averaging 4.8 runs per game. That up considerably from last year. The runs allowed is up a full run. That's not the story today, but that's the story. Premise is far from flawed. Runs per game are up across baseball. Offense wasn't consistent last year either. It is worse this year, though.
  6. Pitching doesn't matter when you can't score. The players being paid to get hits against left-handed pitching have been the biggest letdown this year. That's why every team is starting crap lefties against us.
  7. I like Donnie Hart! Jacob Barnes ... great arm ... mysterious location of his pitches, though. Might have been the first time all year the Brewers DFA'd a guy and he was actually claimed. And they doubled up! Hart actually wasn't horrible. Mystery why he wasn't given another shot.
  8. It really adds a lot of tarnish to the Golden Boy reputation Stearns earned the first few years. I really wonder who is making the decisions, because if this is Stearns I am shocked at the level of ineptitude given his past performance. It's been about a year of poor roster management/transactions. A year of almost EVERY decision blowing up. Even the one's that look positive (adding Grandal and Moose) are being negated by the absolute implosion of every other decision. I think it's the recycling though utter crap relievers at the end of the roster is what irks me the most. Every one of them is a MLB veteran retread, many given up on from other organizations, instead of actually giving young, talented guys a shot. I'm so sick of watching the Jay Jacksons, Burch Smiths, Harts, Petrickas and a host of other get smacked around
  9. I've been one of the biggest supporters of this team's moves, and of guys like Shaw getting opportunities to get fixed. My patience is nearly gone though
  10. And every time I try to think they are playing some sort of long game (like optioning Saladino ahead of the Cubs series), they don't do it. I thought for sure Perez would be back up, but here we are, with a crap ton of lefty hitters against a predominantly lefty starting staff in a huge series.
  11. Here's your flurry! Milwaukee Brewers @Brewers · RHP Aaron Wilkerson has been recalled from Triple-A San Antonio. RHP Jay Jackson has been optioned there. So our deadline acquisitions stay in San Antonio in favor of AAAAron Wilkerson. My word! Wilkerson is absolute garbage, and we give up arguably one of our top 3 prospects for a 29-year old fireballer who they leave in AAA? Gross.
  12. Grisham hit lefties well in San Antonio, right? Why call him up if you aren't going to play him? Until this team attacks lefties, teams are going to keep throwing every junk southpaw they can find against them.
  13. +1000...You nailed it totally. Maybe he doesn't have a hatred for the Brewers, but he WILL do things(and has shown he will) to try to get who he thinks his best arms are against the Brewers. Hamels COULD have started at least a few days ago already. Again, don't for one second think that the fact Quintana never misses series against the Brewers is by coincidence. Especially when he has done things(extra rest etc), to assure that he does pitch against the Crew in an upcoming series. Maybe it's not hatred, but I do feel like there's a little bit of "I will show you! to it...Here, hit Quintana, your kryptonite, let me know how that goes". In case you haven't noticed, pretty much every team has started any crap lefty they can dig up against this team because they are extremely LHH dominant, and the guys who are in the lineup to destroy lefties (Braun and Aguilar) haven't. That's just good game planning, and crappy roster management by the Brewers.
  14. You have a forgiving borderline. Oh, yeah ... I forgot that Gamel with his .250 average and little pop is the same thing. Yeah, completely disregard the prospect pitcher they also got, because it doesn't fit your narrative.
  15. Santana is literally the worst OF in the majors. He's piss poor. I wish they would have gotten more (even though I like Gamel), but I'm glad he's gone.
  16. Makes the deadline deals more awkward when you realize 2/3 of your acquisitions are assigned to the minors in exchange for an MLB player and a guy who could be the backup shortstop instead of Travis Shaw. I didn't get it either. The bullpen literally sucks. You traded for two guys with live arms, yet they are stashed in AAA? It's almost like we are watching different games than the front office sometimes.
  17. Moose is this team's best secondbaseman. They are going to have to live with Hiura's bad D. His bat is going to have to carry him.
  18. LOL ... I thought you already wrote the obit? Gonna stick around to dance on the grave?
  19. Man, you are putting all your cards on the table this week. And not in a good way.
  20. Gotta be the Gomez deal, but both ended up working in the Brewers' favor. The LuCroy Indians trade might have been ok, although I've always thought Mejia was overrated. Without Lucroy to Texas, does Yelich get to us? Perhaps. Mejia has had similar prospect ranking, and they knew Realmuto wasn't going to be a long-timer in Miami.

  22. Just doing his best to live up to the scouting report
