  1. This was the expected outcome. Hopefully Payamps found something in Nashville and can get back to the very solid reliever he was in 2023 and 2024.
  2. The way this team has played this season, finishing 10-13 would be a pretty monumental disappointment. Considering how they have pretty consistently been able to avoid prolonged skids, I would say it's at least arguably unreasonable.
  3. Good lord ... every team goes through tough stretches in a 162-game season. Lets not start acting like the 2025 Brewers are suddenly bad.
  4. 16-8 .... to push them to 101 wins. That would be pretty sweet.
  5. An attempt at a trolly joke. In all seriousness, can't help but feel bad for Miller. Feeling a pop in the elbow typically doesn't end well. It sucks because it was nice having a solid vet in the pen. Hopefully Gasser can help fill the void.
  6. He said it was pretty minor, and is hoping to be back after the minimum stay on the IL
  7. Joey Meyer was a big part of my introduction to major Brewers fandom in the late-80s. The big, lumbering 1B/DH once launched a HR 600 feet in Denver's thin air. I truly thought he was going to be a Brewers superstar. Alas ...
  8. Hoping it's just a rest/reset stint. Not sure what the plan for Fedde is, other than to just eat innings to keep out more fragile starters fresh for October.
  9. Hoping this is just a rest/recharge for Megill. Bummed for Henderson, but it probably makes sense to shut him down at this point, because even with a late Sept/early Oct return, he'd need to ramp up again, and there won't be any minor leagues left to send him on a rehab assignment to.
  10. He's entering that Hader echelon of "young lefty with great stuff who is dominating". I know we are in a good place for starting pitching right now, but it wouldn't surprise me to see Ashby get another crack at the rotation in the years to come.
  11. Just read through this IGT. While a few regular posters were perhaps a bit edgier than normal, I only saw one new poster who was obviously trolling.
  12. Big brother. Willson is 33 ... and obviously should know better. He's always been kind of a dick though.
  13. For #25, we have the very inspirational Jim Abbott. Abbott collected his only two career hits as a member of the Brewers. "That ain't Chuckie's game. Chuckie hacks on 2-0!" - Chuck Carr
  14. "Here comes the story of the Hurricane ..." - Bob Dylan
  15. Wisconsin native, former All-Star and Brewers "legend" ... Jordan Zimmermann! Zim actually owns a cabin about two miles from my house.
  16. For #29, we have Kevin Reimer, a (sorta) power-hitting OF the Brewers stupidly traded Dante Bichette for. And for #28, none other than Cap'n Jack Voigt
  17. Getting out of it only giving up 1 is a pretty nice win right there. Offense needs to wake up.
  18. Priester is putting too many runners on, but he's doing what he needs to. Wish the pitch count was a little lower. It would be nice to get 6 out of him today.
  19. Exactly. The Brewers are in the driver's seat. This team would need to hit an epic skid for the Cubs to even think about the division.
