  1. Plus they play a Cardinal team that will likely need a sweep just to have a playoff shot with the way the Rockies are playing.
  2. Well, they hung around a lot longer than they should have, but the Cardinals are finally coming back down to earth. It is so awesome that the Brewers, for once, are the team driving the bus back to earthtown.
  3. Cubs on pitcher #7 in what's turning into a route. Maddon realizes he has two more against these guys after tonight, right?
  4. Arcia = defensive stud. Please, Orlando, promise me you'll hit .260 next year, and you can have all the SS innings.
  5. Chris Archer (LOL) pitching an absolute gem tonight in Wrigley. He's finding a way to help us, and we didn't even have to give up Hiura!
  6. Braun getting hot now is an absolute best case scenario for this team. A hot Braun is basically like having a right-handed Yelich in your batting order. Would be absolutely huge if he can hold onto this for awhile.
  7. Cubs have used 6 pitchers tonight. Their game is in the top of the 6th. This was not a bullpen start LOL
  8. You really need to go look at Gio's 2017 numbers. Talented players have down years. He probably isn't as good as what he did last year, but he's likely better than what he's done this year.
  9. Woody, busting 97 mph heat on the edge of the zone. All night long. Now, this brings up the dilema - if the Brewers don't go 1-2-3 it puts them in a position to pinch-hit for Woodruff... but I'm not sure I want that. Woody is a decent hitter though. Who's even left in the bullpen tonight? At least 2.0 IP would be worth an AB. Lyles (ummm), Jennings (errr), and Albers (yikes!) Yeah, I'm ok with Woody getting an AB.
  10. He sure looks good doesn't he. Too many options for 5 spots would be a nice problem to have. It's a mystery why he toiled so long in the minors this year, while they cycled through guys like Lopez, Logan and Zaborowski.
  11. Woodruff has top 5 stuff of anyone in the system. If he has his command and can locate his pitches, he's nearly unhittable.
  12. They gotta get some length out a woodruff here Yep ... if he gets in trouble, certainly get someone up. But two innings, if not three, would be ideal here.
  13. Phillies are warm bodies by this point. Rockies may just win out. That isn't necessarily a bad thing for the Brewers, though. The Rockies winning keeps the Cardinals needing to play hard into the weekend series against the Cubs.
  14. Woodruff warming I imagine the play is Woodruff for the 6th and 7th, Soria for the 8th, and hopefully Jeffress to clean things up. I hope Knebel is ready, too, though.
