  1. At this point, I'd like to see Braun elevated to #3 in the order, and Cain leading off again. Seems like Cain in the leadoff spot was working at the beginning of the year, but he hasn't ben there much lately. This is one thing I haven’t understood for a few months now. Why did we ever go away from 1. Cain 2. Yelich? That worked really well. Isn’t it a baseball thing that players are creatures of habit and like being in the same spot? Why switch what was working? Pretty sure it was simply Counsell trying to alternate his lefty and righty batters. Braun batted 3rd quite a bit the first two months, typically Cain-Yelich-Braun-Shaw.

  3. Ditto. Peralta is proving to be a flash in the pan, at least for right now. He either needs to go to the pen or the minors.
  4. At first I thought you were a Brewers fan. Then a Cubs fan. I really have no idea what you are, but it's been a strange first 34 posts. I think the proper answer rhymes with "roll".
  5. If I were Stearns, I'd be looking at making a waiver deal for a RF. Broxton obviously isn't the answer, and Domingo hasn't done much of anything to make himself look like an answer this year. What's wrong with Braun, Cain, Yelich? Well ... Yelich is not a RF for one. You've seen his arm. He's adequate in LF, but is a major liability in RF. They are already making major concessions defensively in the IF, so I doubt Yelich is going to be a regular in RF. Also, banking on Braun to play regularly in LF is investing in fool's gold.

  7. Soria can't get back fast enough. Hopefully good Albers as well. Having those two pitching well would be huge.
  8. Oh Corey Knebel being Corey Knebel once again. Can he be optioned to Biloxi? Because having him in the pen means we're playing a man down right now.
  9. Stearns doesn’t have a magical touch with lefties. Makes me wonder whether Ramirez or Torres-Costa might make some sense.
  10. Leave Guerra in to get schellacked for 7 runs (yes, I know, soft grounders, but whatever, he still put a ton of guys on), then get cute on matchups late in the game? Cheering for this team sucks sometimes. Last year was great because it was so unexpected. This year has just been a roller coaster.
  11. I was gonna say, we just tied that game against Iglesias...you guys come to a brewerfan message board and spout a vast majority of pessimism. Why? Have you actually ever looked at MoreTrife's message history? This is par for the course.
  12. I’ll admit, I was starting to wonder if we were off base with it but he sure has looked great lately. So fun to see him doing this. Would be awesome to see him have some huge moments down the stretch. But I was told that Braun was done, and the worst thing the team ever did was not trade him for Puig ... in 2016. I swear, it's a love/hate thing with me and this forum some days.
  13. It could happen, but where is he going to play? If Arcia is in fact heating up, you can't put him on the bench. Moose has 3B most days, Shaw gets more bench time for Schoop? Such a weird roster. Find some lefty starters and get trigger happy with pinch hit opportunities - I get that it may be tough to find room, but if his bat gets rolling it's good enough to play. Gonna be hard to manufacture pinch hit opportunities unless more than just Hader and Jeffress are pitching well in relief. Need other relievers to take advantage of that.
  14. There's just too many good hitters to get into the lineup!
  15. Well ... that's one way to introduce yourself to the forum.
  16. It's like they took a page out of the 2017 instruction manual.
  17. If that happens I'm not sure I'm gonna want to look at any of 'em.
  18. Santana = 59 Ks in 150 ABs in AAA He'll fit right in!
  19. Jeffress and Josh and pray .... for the offense to put up an uncharacteristic 9 runs.
  20. If Domingo Santana hadn't turned into Billy Hamilton with the bat, we wouldn't be in this situation.
  21. Well, this is definitely the weirdest IGT of the season. And there's been some hum-dingers this year.
