  1. Yelich put a good swing on the ball. Hit it hard. Hey, it's something.
  2. WAAAYYYYY too early for Rowdy to be looking over his shoulder obviously, but he should probably be checking out the Nashville box scores every once in a while. It seems like forever ago that Singleton was a Top 10 MLB prospect and signed a huge and unheard of at the time long-term deal with the Astros, but he got those for a reason. Dude has always had monster power. He tore the cover off the ball in the Mexican League last year. I have no expectations whatsoever, but he'll be a fun story to watch as the AAA season progresses.

  6. They did in Sullivan. But he bats from the same side as Narvaez, and the Brewers have always liked having a LH/RH hitting catching platoon. Caratini is a switch hitter, so that makes him even more flexible.
  7. Severino's suspension is without pay, so you can cut his $1.9 million salary in half.
  8. What about complaining about how the ads popping up all over the place makes scrolling the forum on a PC kind of annoying? I get the need for ads, but is there a better way to do it? This is almost as bad as visiting one of those illegal sports streaming sites. Is it because I'm using Chrome as my browser?
  9. I wouldn't have minded the Brewers re-signing him, but at that market price, I get why they didn't. Severino is also younger, probably has a better bat at this stage of his career, and was set to make half of what Pina will be making.
  10. Howell was an interesting prospect. The versatility and speed were intriguing. He's already 23, though, and I'm not sure if he'll ever hit enough to be anything more than a Jace Peterson type.
  11. Caratini is more than 6 years younger than Pina, and makes half what Pina makes. For a team on a budget like the Brewers, that matters.
  12. Safe to say that Caratini is an upgrade on Nottingham. Heck, he might be an upgrade on Severino, at least defensively.
  13. Caratini is eligible for arbitration through 2023, and can be a free agent in 2024. Severino signed a two-year deal with the Brewers I believe.
  14. Korry Howell and Brett Sullivan. Losing Howell kinda sucks, but the Brewers are loaded with OF in the minors.
  15. That answers that question. Solid pickup. Will be interesting to see what the return is.
  16. He also tore his ACL and MCL on Aug. 29 of last year. While some professional athletes have made a 7-month recovery from that type of injury, I wouldn't imagine that a 34-year-old, 250 lb catcher would be ready to go quite yet.
  17. Wilson Ramos has been utterly atrocious the last couple years after a solid 2019. He'll be 35 in August. I think he's done.
  18. The ads are here, and holy crap are they all over the place and terrible!
  19. Anthony Bemboom beat out Jacob Nottingham for the Orioles #2 catcher job. Nottingham likely has an opt-out in his minor league deal with the Orioles (I was mistaken yesterday in assuming he'd be subject to waivers. He would not.) I have no idea when that is, though. If the Brewers wanted Nottingham as their #2 for the first half of the season, he is likely very available for a very low trade price. I would assume that, despite the yo-yoing he did last year, he'd be happy to have an MLB job, even if it were only for half a season. I suspect we'll find out later today.
  20. You really, really need to come off this idea. It comes across as very "know it all"-ish and insensitive, especially considering a poster in this very thread admitted that his MD, in Wisconsin, prescribed this to him for the same exact reason Severino described. There is also PLENTY of information out there that is of the belief that it does have benefits for males.
