  1. I think at this point Grisham and Urias have basically cancelled each other out. Grisham looked great in 2020, but was pretty meh last year. Whereas Urias looked like a solid building block last year after a poor 2020 showing, If Urias could have stuck at SS, I think it was an easy win for the Brewers. A little closer if he's a 3B only moving forward. I wouldn't be surprised if they already have him pegged as the 2B of the future, though, once Wong's deal is up. It's easy to forget that he's still only 24. Lauer looking like a potential stud lefty starter at only 26 makes this an easy Brewers win. Davies was decent in his one season as a Padre, and was then used as basically a throw-in for the Darvish salary dump trade. He's now getting close to washing out of the league.

  5. It's probably just one of those early-season coincidences, but honestly, if the Brewers can't actually start doing something against these junkballing lefties, teams are going to start adjusting their rotations (like the Cubs used to do) to make sure they are throwing all their lefties against this lineup.
  6. No, he was calling Bucks/Bulls a tossup. He said Celtics were a pretty clear favorite in a Bucks/Celtics series. I'm not sure that is necessarily true either.
  7. And I think calling this series a "tossup at best" because they lost Middleton is overly pessimistic. The Bulls are not very good. There's a reason why they were considered the easiest matchup the Bucks could have gotten for Round 1. The Bucks have played two of their worst games of the season in this series, and it is tied at 1-1. I think that odds are still pretty good that they roll tonight, and this series is over pretty easily in 5.
  8. I'm guessing it was because it was a bumped thread from last season. It also appeared that Brock was miffed at the poster's lack of any sort of punctuation, which I TOTALLY understand, as that has bugged me for years with that particular poster.
  9. The biggest issue for me continues to be that the ads populate at a different rate than the rest of the site. It makes clicking on topics and scrolling pretty tough. The issue isn't nearly as bad on Twins Daily, which tells me there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I hope you can fix things here, Brock.
  10. Bulls didn't beat the Bucks last night. Bucks beat the Bucks. Bucks show up, they roll.
  11. One of the few times when Counsell may have gotten a little too cute for his own good.
  12. Against a left-handed hitter to boot. Defies a little traditional baseball logic.
  13. You have quite possibly the worst case of sports-induced Stockholm Syndrome I think I've ever seen.
  14. There is certainly something to be said for a good old fashioned pitcher's duel. Here we are at the 7th inning stretch, and the game time is still under 2 hours. Don't see that very often anymore.
  15. Keller has really nasty stuff. Fortunately it won't be long before he's pitching for the Dodgers or somewhere in the AL East.
  16. True. Fortunately Woodruff might actually look better than last year's version.
  17. He's definitely giving off a "random 35 HR, 100 RBI season" vibe so far.
  18. I'd peg the chances of the Niners trading Samuel to the Packers at about 0.5%
  19. I so hope this happens, simply to watch the majority of Packers Twitter (i.e. morons) lose their collective minds.
  20. I doubt that the Brewers are going to want to start the arby clocks on any of their true prospects unless those guys were going to play a substantial role.
