  1. I like to do the hop before I sit down in my cubicle at my FT Job.
  2. Never been to golden lion but I would bet that its a good time. P.S. - Believe it or not - picking up dog doo as a business is probably one of the ultimate low cost startups. We feel as though we are improving the quality of kids and pets lives as well as the adults in the house. When kids cant play catch in the yard without stepping in crap, thats a problem. We also clean homes and do midday visits for pets. Middays often prevents owners from coming home to a chewed up mess or crap on the floor and is a fraction of the cost of these doggie daycares they have out there.
  3. Sizemore cannot be had for anything. Why even bother discussing him when you know that he is an untouchable. Blake - Id much rather have Hall. Peralta - Id much rather have Hardy and then id rather have Escobar. Peralta strikes out at too high of a rate. Jason Kendall is handling our pitching staff very well and seems to have the respect of the entire team. Ill take a very good baseball team with excellent chemistry any day. I think that is what we have. If Turnbow gets his groove back, this bullpen is the as good if not better than any in baseball.
  4. I am not kidding. When Turnbow is on a roll he is as good as anyone. We need him more than we need a 6th starter. I love the chemestry of this team. I love Craig Counsell finally being used the way he is meant to be used as a bench guy. I love Kaplers influence and defense. I dont want to see either of them go. Bench guys who understand baseball. I have been screaming for veteran influence on this team for a long time. I didnt know that it would come in the color of Kapler, but I can see why he was a coach. This guy is baseball. I love our Bullpen. The backup Catcher is much less of a factor when Jason Kendall is behind the plate because he is a warrior and never takes days off willingly. This is not Johnny Estrada. Again - when Turnbow is on his game I feel that he is as big of an addition to this team as we can find. Gross is gone for Cameron so tell me where the upgrade is. David Delucci or Jason Michals? Not for me over Gwynn or Kapler. I dont see it.
  5. I will guess your around 13th and puetz. There is a decent place I have had some fun at called Jim Dandys. South Milwaukee is nearby and has Spirits - I havent been there recently but sportsradio 1250 seems to go there from time to time and they advertise quite a bit. Food wise they have Ervs mug(pub) has great fish frys and great beers but the TVs are horrid. Georgie Porgys(no alcohol) has great hot dogs. Some other sports bars are Coaches on 13th - pretty good place and Rookies is a good time on Howell and Howard. I am probably not the best one to ask anymore - I have 3 kids 2 dogs and 2 cats and are trying to start our own house cleaning and doggy doo business so my "going out" usually boils down to playing the 360 with some buddies.
  6. Cleveland is really bad. Outside of Sabathia they have nothing that would help this team as much as a rolling Turnbow would.
  7. Well my wife went and bought it without me. She did not negotiate but she did get word that American will likely replace our television for free since we have had such a long repair record with it. All in all - I am pleased I guess. I will remember this when I go get something new though.
  8. We need a new dryer and my wife wants a matching set. I cant really complain - a matching set would look nice. My question is, can you negotiate with Salesmen from American or Sears or wherever? Does anyone have any negotiating techniques? Is the difference in the price coming off the saleman commission or the departments bottom line? How much Wiggle room is there? Suggestions are more than welcome.
  9. Gagne was just trying to show off and wanted to K the guy with the heat. He will be fine. I am thrilled to have him. Next time just listen to Kendall.
  10. Stop drinking caffene during the day and about an hour before bed drink some kind of herbal tea. Id also suggest visiting a "smoke shop".
  11. About 20 min ago I opened a coke zero. It tastes okay and helps me kill my constant craving for a coke. But this last one I opened has been fizzing non stop - coming out of the top of the can and then disolving and going back in. This has been non stop I have never seen something like this before. Can any science majors tell me what is going on. Should I drink it and see if I blow up?
  12. I think Tony Bennett is waiting until Mr Bo Ryan retires - which might not be too far off. At that point he will take the Badgers job. As I said all along - for whatever reason Badgers / Marquette alum seem to really dispise the other.
  13. Prince is hitting +.364 over TWENTY TWO at bats. He is posting his highest OBP of his career. The home runs will come - probably vs the Reds.
  14. Wow - I love gardening but looking at that basement setup I feel like I am reading an issue of High Times.
  15. What a disappointment. Well maybe he is talented. There are alot of great undiscovered basketball minds, but I cannot imagine this is good for future recruiting. A 6 year committment? Marquette must be pretty sure.
  16. Yeah its wrong. I dont want to see banaba peels on the side of the road. While it makes sense because as you say, it will decompose, its still going to take 3-4 weeks and thats in warm weather. I guess I just find people who litter - from cigarette butts to mcdonalds bags extremely lazy and self centered people who dont care about the world that their kids have to grow up in. Our kids are going to have it rough enough the next 20 - 30 years. I am not Mr Green - I own 2 cars and a gas guzzling truck, but I rarely drive my truck and would buy more effeciency if I could afford it. I just think that the earth is not an ashtray. This is why I dont feel bad about the cigarette tax and wouldnt be upset if it went higher. I foudn this online - how long it takes something to decompose. To me its pretty eye opening, knowing that throwing a beer can or soda can out the window instead of in the garabge, you could be leaving your mark there for the next 200 - 500 years or you can recycle and use it again in 6 weeks. I will definately start to be more aware of recycling pabst cans. Styrofoam container > 1 million years Plastic jug 1 million years Aluminum can 200-500 years (But if recycled, it can be reused within 6 weeks!) Disposable diaper 550 years Tinned can 90 years Leather shoe 45 years Wool sock 1 year Paper bag 1 month Banana peel 3-4 weeks Anyhow - sorry if it sounds like I am preaching. I am not - just trying to bring the facts to the front.
  17. Bobby Knight though is good for at least 2 extra appearances on ESPN a year. In a good program probably much more.
  18. Bobby Knight? That would be AWESOME
  19. We already have Dave Roberts in Tony Gwynn.
  20. Kendall sees alot of pitches every at bat it seems.
  21. That might be a blessing in disguise.
  22. NO DP- no chance he swings the bat
  23. Wow - Gwynn - if you want to keep the job thats the one thing you cannot do is strike out. Ever.
