    This is a real big move for the Brewers. It would be nice if its an offer that is accepted - Id hate to have Boras tell Prince that he is insulted and make the big fella angry at us.

    Id agree with Brian there. One of my nicest pleasures is going up to my cabin in Iron Mountain and finding the broadcast on the radio. Its not 620, cause its FM, but it is WTMJ. Id miss that.

    King King. To this day I cant watch that movie or movies like it. I think Free Williy made me cry. The notebook is another movie that I have to act tough during to keep my eyes from getting wet.

    Doesnt Prayer work in a hospital? I feel so horrible for that girl. In this day and age it would not surprise me to find out that the real reason they didnt take her to the hospital was simply because they didnt have insurance and are trying to use Prayer as a coverup.

    OK - I understand he is the platoon mate of TGJ, but what is it about this guy that made the Brewers pick him out of all the available platooons? I know that in 2005 he blew out his achillies, but what kind of a player was he before that? Do we think that he is going to be a right handed hitting Gwynn Jr? Does he slap the ball around and turns tough ground ball outs into infield singles? Does he have power? Does he have a plus arm? Can he play all 3 OF positions? Where has he generally hit in a batting order thru his career? I like to think I have a pretty good grip on the Brewers roster, but Kapler is a guy who I am not at all familiar with. Please educate me on what I can expect from him.

    I have no reason not to believe him, although id like to see a picture of his wife before I make up my mind.

    I have seen a few different schedules now I think. I was originally expecting it to be in August.

    "One of the tips I have for grilling is to have a good digital thermometer....I have been told my an executive chef that you should never grill steaks by color, but by internal temperature. Since I have started using the thermometer, I have not overcooked a steak. " Maybe a dumb question - but by putting a thermometer into a steak, arent you releasing some of the juices that are the most important part of it? I guess I question how that is any different from Cutting into it which to me would be very second rate.

    Thanks guys. I took it from 0 to 1. Maybe I will readjust next year. My tax return was really quite large - I am definatly overpaying.

    M'eh. Unless Eveland turns into something with the A's - I am still not losing sleep. Eveland has been pretty dominating over there for Oakland and has been named #4 starter.

    What is the difference between an Allowance and a dependant? I was told I pay too much on my taxes for having 3 kids - and I am giving the government a short term loan. Whatever - I dont care about that but what I do want to know is my employer gives me an opportunity to change my "allowances" so I wanted to see if that is the same as changing my "dependants" so I pay less in taxes. Thanks!

    I might be Vargas biggest supporter around. I guess I understand the move though. Parra is only good for probably 170 innings or so. I think thats good enough out of your 4th starter. Even as a big fan of Vargas, I cant justify keeping Parra or Carlos out of the rotation so that you can keep Vargas in. Villaneueva should Max out at about 150 Innings. Thats more than Vargas gives us and the upside cant come close. Does Bush stay as the long guy? The Crew has come a long way when Vargas is no longer good enough for this team.

    I have had to send my 360 to Microsoft for repairs. I am getting the 2 red lights on the dash - which means something is causing an overheating. I cant wait to get back into this. I have never been anywhere near a no hitter as of yet though.

    I dont know Briggs - I think Turnbow is awesome. His problem IMO was that he was overworked and thats why he wears down and we all get so frustrated with him. With the upgraded depth in the BP I think that TBOW will be used a bit less which will make him FAR more productive. I consider TBOW to be a major part of our Push into the Playoffs. Rick Porcello would be a great addition however if I am wrong and Turnbow is expendable.

    1. Escobar is our Starting SS. 2. Ben Sheets Strikes out 225+. 3. Tony Gwynn Jr starts in Center and never gives up the position.

    Well Gross doesnt play 1st base so if Prince goes down for an extended period Gross wouldnt be a major piece in that Puzzle to me. It makes sense to me. Jacobs is still somewhat new to 1st Base, playing catcher as recently as 2005. He made major strides last season vs Lefties (small sample) and that to me is exciting to see. I dont think that Gross power even comes close to that of Jacobs, and showing me a stat isnt going to do it. Jacobs is the Magic 27 this year as well and is still developing as a hitter as well as a 1st baseman. Its my opinion that this team is right there and the Bench is the one place where Id like to see us add some firepower. I think we could expect Jacobs #s to jump in Miller park as it seems much more accomidating to Home Run hitters. He is very affordable.

    Just curious if anyone here would be interested in trading Dave Bush for Mike Jacobs of the Marlins. I am proposing the trade because it was revealed on MLBTRADERUMORS that the Marlins are looking for a starter. I think that Jacobs would be a great addition to the Brewers because we do need a power bat off the bench, and as a left handed hitter he fits the bill. He would give us a fallback option at 1st should *God Forbid* Prince get hurt for an extended period. He cant hit Lefties for a lick. I like the trade for the Marlins because I do not think they are all that high on Jacobs as it is, and adding Bush to the back of any rotation is a pretty good pickup.

    And if UNC and Tenn end up meeting, this game is going to be a classic. Texas and Memphis should be another amazing game should it happen. UCLA seems to have an absolute cake walk to the final 4 - conspiracy for sure.

    That Memphis miss state game should it happen has the potential to be a real good game. They should be able to hold Memphis most of the game to below average shooting. But this Memphis team is explosive and Miss state is absolutly not. So when Memphis puts together a few of these short burts of points, it had better be later in the game after Miss has established the confidence that they need as well as a small lead. If Memphis can score early this game will be over in abotu 3 minutes.

    1. highest seed to advance to 2nd round - San Diego over UCONN 2. highest seed to advance to sweet 16 - I have Marquette advancing - Good Guard play is the key. My other lowest seed is Drake. 3. how far marquette will go - Sweet 16 before losing to Texas 4. how far the badgers will go - Elite Eight before losing to Kansas. 5. final four. - Carolina, Kansas, Texas UCLA 6. champion. - UCLA
