  1. Now if we can find a CF with a decent OBP, then we will be on to something http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Got my 20 PAck I am stoked for the season.
  2. Im all for this but Damon I think is going to want alot of money (unwarranted).
  3. Often times GM's are too cautious, yes he has a HUGE off-season and yes the Brewers are contenders. If he can do one more deal and find a good SS or CF then melvin will have pulled it off. Yes we have a great rotation but our everyday lineup has some concerns. Maybe guts is the wrong word, I hope Melvin doesn't think the rotation is going to win the WS for us.
  4. If Melvin really has the guts he would try to get this guy. Upton in center and I'm thinking WS contender. We seem to be one guy short offensively Gomez Betancourt LuCroy Not sure how I feel about 6-7-8, oh yeah NOT VERY GOOD!! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. Realistically what are our options? He's under contract for $6 million for next year, he's not going to be our utility guy. I'm guessing his contract is next to untradable, we better get used to him Yeez!!!!
  6. Not to toot my own horn but check this out, maybe Moore saw on my post LOL KCBrewerfan34 #412 [-] Posts: 1113 December 13, 2010 3:25 PM What about Escobar, Cain and Jeffress or Odirizzi. Man the Royals would be nuts to pass on that, we would be nuts to offer it. Take the pitcher out and put Jeffress in then this deal is done IMO. Interact My Recent Posts
  7. Rosenthal just tweeted Greinke is waiving his no-trade without receiving anything in return.
  8. I have the believe they are going to do everything they can to lock up these pitchers and I mean everything. With this rotation it will make Milwaukee a little more attractive for players in the upcoming FA periods.
  9. Even better if Jeffress isn't in the deal. WOW!!! Way to go DM. Now go find a SS and a CF.
  10. Any chance Melky Cabrera might be in this deal? I don't think I can stomach Gomez out there.
  11. Lots of moving parts here, physicals, is JO in the deal and will Greinke sign an extension, if we can extend him this is a GRAND SLAM trade regardless of the cost. If we don't extend Greinke then it looks like we're going for it for 2 years and then rebuilding. LOL I'm thinking about a 20 pack right about now With the addition of Greinke where does our payroll stand for this year? GO DM and the BREW
  12. Guys we've missed on so many picks, I'm not saying Pavano is the answer but I think the picks are thought to be more valued than they should be on this board by many.
  13. What about Escobar, Cain and Jeffress or Odirizzi. Man the Royals would be nuts to pass on that, we would be nuts to offer it. Take the pitcher out and put Jeffress in then this deal is done IMO.
  14. If we have a rotation of Gallardo Greinke Marcum Wolf Narveson Thats a divison winning rotation and a rotation that could compete in the playoffs. If Melvin passes on Greinke he probably is going to look back on it when he's collecting his unemployment checks as his biggest mistake. As long as you don't trade Rogers you almost do any package, this would give us at least a 2 year window to compete for the division and beyond. Bite the bullet Doug!!
  15. What about Garza and Upton FOR Fielder, Cain, Jeffrees, Parra & Peralta
  16. I actually think it hurts Prince's situation. There's only so many big market teams (AL only most likely) that would pay him $100+ million, now if he goes for 40+ this year thats different, if he duplicates this years performance Prince is going to be asking Boras why we didn't take that $100 million :0
  17. I would love to be a fly on the wall when Boras calls up melvin and says is that 5 year $100 million dollar offer still available?? Boras has embarrassed himself over the last couple seasons. His Varitek demands were ridiculous the AROD fiasco He is hurting some draftees I'm not so sure he's the big bad wolf anymore, or maybe just not as big of a one http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Should be interesting what Melvin does with Prince, in the WSSP interview he all but said no one is trading pitching......
  18. If I'm the Brewers I do everything possible to keep Rogers and Odorizzi. Lawrie, Jeffress & maybe Peralta??
  19. My expectations are Melvin won't be able to improve the pitching staff again and he'll be able to say we tried.... blah blah blah
  20. if he can do 175 innings and a 4.50 ERA that's decent enough for a #5 starter isn't it??
  21. Trading Braun is tough becasue you'll be losing Fielder and that's a ton of offense to replace. Never easy for the Brewers if they both were locked up and I would advovcate trading Braun because we would be able to get #2 or better for him IMO
  22. Gomez totally sucks and isn't worth giving up a low level A player IMO.
  23. Hi Guys, I'll take best offers on the entire set. All are in mint condition and in original boxes. I've seen these go for around $175 (if not more). PM with your offer.
  24. About a week or so ago ESPN Insider had something to the affect that Weeks would be dangled for pitching this off-season? I found it curious because I was under the impression both sides were interested in doing a long term deal. Any thoughts on this and does anyone have Insider to paraphrase the article. GO BREW
  25. Looking for the orange, green, silver and gold version autographed. Please PM me. Thanks, Mike T.
