  1. This is for extra credit tonight, if we leave 6 games up by beating their best and sweeping them in their house the Cards spirit will definitely be wavering. This is a HUGE game tonight but if we lose we're still up 4 with 44 to play. FYI we get the Pirates at home this weekend and the Cards get the Rockies at home
  2. I spoke to a guy today from Kansas City and he mentioned the trade involving Greinkem he said they're very happy with their new SS. I told him we were happy with Greinke and Yuni http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  3. For all the criticism RR gets people better get used to him getting some manager of the year votes and possibly winning it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Here's hoping Holliday doesn't pull a Willis Reed.
  5. I respectfully disagre with anyone who says this isn't a big series. If we get 2 out 3 and go up 4 games with like 44 to play that's HUGE. A 2 game swing in these standings is a really big number right now. Let's get off on the right foot and maybe Marcum can twirl a gem (he's due).
  6. It's great to see the "experts' on the board eating some crow http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Go Yuni go!!!!
  7. This guy is available again?
  8. Dave I agree but I think you're going to see 10 really good starts from Greinke down the stretch. He's lowered his ERA over a run since the Cubs debacle. If we make the playoffs I would probably make sure Greinke pitches at home, not sure how the pressure would affect him and his anxiety, home crowd would help him alot. GO BREW
  9. I do this trade every day of the week.
  10. PM an offer, I would sell my 2 to help the bobble collectors and my family http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. We would be right there at 87-75 but with the remaining schedule it would be dissappointing to play .500 baseball the rest of the way. Let's get off on a good foot and get 2 out of 3 in Houston. Hoston beat St.L 2 out of 3 on the road, they still had Pence and they just beat Cincy 2 out of 3 at home without him and our road woes are documented. Kudos to the bottom of the lineup they have really picked it up. 27-23 the rest of the way and we're in great shape (I know 1 game at a time).
  12. I would be interested to see a poll who do you hate worse Cubs Cards Reds Yanks Some one else
  13. Greinke proved last night why we dumped our minor league system for him, he didn't have his best but 6 Innings 2 runs will get us a win at home. I expect 10 more excellent starts the rest of the way and I would pick him to start game 1 in the playoffs. Now its Marcum's turn. We have a chance to really put the hurt to STL tonight You just can't keep building your team solely through the minors. The Greinke and Marcum deals were excellent for us. The minor league system is being re-tooled. We get them for 2 years and a chance to re-sign both/either. Why are Brewer fans so negative?? I am absolutely loving this season, all these games are close and Braun and Fielder have been awesome. Try enjoying this run guys!!! People are posting they'd wish we didn't do the CC trade, Really???? Go BREW
  14. How much are these things worth, I have 2. There's only 15,000 right?
  15. I would take a shot at minimum. You could let Wilson go. He would be our best bat off the bench, although some like Kotsay.
  16. I would have liked Michael Bourn, through this trading deadline the bad thing is Atlanta, Philly & SF got better. Brew and St.l only marginally improved IMO.
  17. If the Cards don't improve their bullpen they still have a HUGE weakness there. I'm not sure how good Dotel is.
  18. Suupposedly, ARAM would waive the option in exchange for some $$$$$$ (Krod scenario).
  19. Guys remember this, ARAM can waive his rights to certain teams. The Cubs may run out of options and instead of paying the rest of his salary and his buyout they take the best deal they can with a team ARAM will waive his rights to. Enter Milwaukee http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif There's alot involved in this transaction.
  20. Not sure ARAM wants to go clear across the country, he could sleep in his bed if he goes to Milwaukee.
  21. Done. This makes way too much sense.
  22. The in division thing shouldn't be a huge deal get next years option out of there like with K-Rod and ARAM can be a FA. No arbitration, that shoud lower the price tag as he would be a true rental. MA will pay, its a question of can Melvin pull the trigger. Everyone should be on the table except Thornberg.
  23. OMG Gamel and McGehee and a mid level prospect for this guy and this division is OVER (if everyone stays healthy Morgan Hart Braun Fielder Ramirez Betancourt Lucroy 2b When Weeks comes back our lineup then becomes World Series worthy, our starters have been excellent recently and the back end of the bullpen has now been stabilized. This is a Deal that has to get done.
  24. How is Farris's glove?
  25. I'm just going to ask the question. Can McGehee play 2b? Trade for Ramirez and move Casey to 2B (if he can play it).
