  1. Let me clarify Peavey, I'm all for trading prospects but not the ones that have alot of upside: Parra, Jeffress, Inman, Laporta (when they can trade him) and probably a few other guys. I'm not sure how much of an upside Gwynn, Sarfate, Jackson and some of the other guys have, so those guys I would definitely deal for a good bullpen arm etc... Hopefully DM can keep some of the top guys out of the deals. Ash on the radio yesterday said he expects the Brewers to be pretty active, he specifically mentioned bullpen help Re-signing Sheets will be a big if, let's hope it happens. GO BREW!!!!
  2. I would hate to give up ANY of our top prospects to make us better, we're pretty good right now!! it would just make me sick if Parra would go on to have a 15 win season somewhere else. My vote is to keep all of the big prospects and just keep the pipeline flowing. Because of high draft picks and the Brew nailing alot of the picks is the reason why we're in the position we are today!!!!
  3. Parra obviously has made himself into a big prospect now but with his history, do we trade this guy? if so what can he bring us via trade or do we plug him into the rotation in 09 and hope his injury history is behind him? My vote is to keep him. Future rotation maybe in 09......... Gallardo Villanueva Parra Capuano/Bush Suppan I know i know I know about Sheets missing, I'm hoping with a playoff appearance this year he will resign but based on the contract Buehrle is talking about, it will tough for the Brew!!!
  4. Amazing, Corey Hart went from struggling to almost untouchable, under our sitaution I would hesitate to deal him for just about anything, unless the Twins would make Santana available. Congrats to CH, he has made himself into one heck of a player. Our new "igniter"
  5. Dunn would be terrific (OBP guy), the problem is he hates Miller Park (doesn't like the background), I don't know if he ever has been quoted as he hates Milwaukee (the city).
  6. Would it be impossible to decline the option & then offer Jenkins less money? The FA crop of OF'ers isn't overwhelming but at $9 million that money probably needs to be invested into our young core. Go BREWERS!!
  7. 3000 hits is an automatic ticket. HOF rewards longevity, even if Biggio was under .250 career BA he would be in with that magic number.
  8. Bump, his card now books at $120, he has a great chance for rookie of the year , I am asking $99 per card. Please inquire if interested. Thanx, Mike T
  9. Before they lose the guy wouldn't the Marlins at least think about Yo FOR Cabrera, heck would DM do that deal?
  10. Yes, his Chromes. I saw an ungraded one sell for $127 on EBAY, it was centered really nice though. I sold his Gold Chrome for $850, his stuff is crazy HOT!!!
  11. Sheets your significantly off on your price. The Chromes are going for around $100. Good luck!!
  12. Bump, get them before the guy blows up in a Brewer uniform.
  13. I have a supply of Ryan Braun Bowman Chrome rookies, great investment for this future star. Recently they have been selling for $110-$125 on EBAY. All cards NM_MT condition and centered better than 60/40. Asking $100 per card (15 available) I also have some graded copes as well, his refractor and Xfractor included Drop me an email if you're interested blikemike2@aol.com Thanx, Mike
  14. People should be mad, we should be embarrassed because to be honest my 2 year old would know not to bring in Shouse to face 2 righties in the 8th in a 4 run game. The 8th inning is Turnbow's, he should have started the inning & perhaps Shouse could have been brought in to face Utley, if needed. As previously stated by myself, I can't stand the way Yost uses the bullpen, hopefully the team is good enough to overcome his poor decision making!!!! P.S Not a knee-jerk, Yost is just plain awful in regard to the bullpen. GO BREW!!!
  15. This probably lays the groundwork for the Harden talks, LOL
  16. Does anyone have any decent tickets for today's game they're not using? SWEEP Thanx, Mike blikemike2@aol.com
  17. 130098763261 Here is the EBAY auction, its a retro bobblehead??
  18. For the experts in bobblehead land, how much is that Turnbow bobblehead worth with the real hair?? I thought I saw one go on EBAY last week for like $150, can that be right? Thanx for any assistance you can provide
  19. We should never get beat with Aquino on the mound with 2 outs in the 7th. NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a yost I mean a joke
  20. If Jenkins is moved I would think it would be a salary dump type of thing, we won't get much for him. I hope I'm wrong. But it would be great to get the guy out of town. Hasn't Melvin commented their really pushing the upper end (or above) of where they wanted to be in terms of team salary for 2007?? Go Brew
  21. Casey the problem will be the Brew won't want Koskie back in 2008 at $6.5 million, that probably also hurts his trade value. There is almost no chance Braun won't be up by then. Hope that clarifies.
  22. Those options are a no win situation, if the Brew does not play Koskie everyday if healthy, his agent will cry foul and they can file a grievance etc... Just don't negotiate that stuff into contracts ( I know the Brew didn't do the contract), that being said Koskie is a HUGE bargain if he can stay healthy, however, thats a big IF
  23. Would Jenkins, Mench and a prospect (not a top 15). FOR Burrell & Madson be doable?
  24. This is like comparing whether you would like a broken leg or a severely sprained ankle. Doug please do the minions and the loyal followers on BREWERFAN.NET a favor and get both guys out of town.
  25. With the way starting pitching is costing I would definitely look at the best SP available, if no one warrants at that slot then you go best hitter but pitching is just to darn valuable to pass up. Oakland did well (or got lucky) with Zito, Mulder & Hudson, they all were drafted by the A's. That made for a cheap and dominating staff for a number of years. Look at the possible HR the Brew hit with Gallardo and Inman?
