One of my least favorite thing these reports say is, “talks are fluid”...basically excusing them of being wrong. I may be in the minority, but I’d rather keep Phillips and be our starting right fielder. Plus defense with some pop. Thames could be traded to Yankees or something.

Makes sense! I’m shocked Nottingham isn’t up. Nottingham is batting 311 with a 940 ops...granted some is Co Springs affect. But you can’t tell me he isn’t a possible upgrade.

I’d rather we go after a guy like Bumgardner than any of these guys. I feel like he would lead our rotation quite well. And provide better offensive at bats than some of our regulars. -

It’s funny you mention the offense lacking. ESPN had Jim Bowen on talking about how the Brewers offense makes them a true contender. I couldn’t help but chuckle. He clearly hasn’t watched them enough. -

What makes you so sure of this? Both have had some injury issues. Noah usually doesn’t go deep into games. DeGrom is going to get very expensive very fast. I would be cautious with “whatever it takes” on these two. Granted, I’d love to have either. Just cautious on what we’d have to sell away. Hiura is off limits for me.
