  1. Another nice play by Weeks in the field.
  2. That's as impressive as the two hit game last night... way to go Rickie!
  3. Good call Chris on being completely wrong. Weeks played in 7 games in 2003. This is not Weeks ML debut. So, yeah, I guess that makes me completely wrong.
  4. Someone wanna pin this thread? And, while I know this isn't Weeks' debut, I'll be DVRing this game anyways.
  5. Ho hum... two more doubles for Nelson Cruz... so far.
  6. I hope Braun does well, and the fact that he could be in Milwaukee by 2008-9 is encouraging, but I still would have liked to see them take Maybin, even if he is got more risk associated with him. I full blame Colby for setting me up to have my heart broken. If it weren't for his work, I wouldn't have know Maybin from Mayday.
  7. Nice to see another Eveland in the organization...
  8. Can we ban the word Maybin or add it to the curse word list? I am upset over that...
  9. So by 12:05, we should know... As much as I love the NFL, this is still the best day of the year for me... The speed of the draft is just amazing
  10. I have never really had a favorite pick, but I am really starting to get a serious man crush on Maybin. It doesn't sound like he'll be the pick, but if Milwaukee calls his name I'll be as excited as I have ever been about a pick. Which pretty much guarantees Maybin won't be drafted by Milwaukee.
  11. You might wanna hit the chatroom early tomorrow, or even go there tonight and bookmark it. Since the room isn't a part of EZBoard, you should be able to go there without having to worry about the messageboard not functioning. Brian, have you considered putting a link on the front page so people can avoid the messageboard should the worst come to pass?
  12. Craig Molldrem. He was drafted in the 8th round last year and was making his first start in AA. He actually had surgery on his forearm right after being drafted so they are moving him very quickly. Just a quick note- he's not in AA to stay just yet. One of Carolina's pitchers was called up to Florida to make an emergancy start, and Molldrem was brought up from Low A to take his place. He's going back soon (today I think). Still, not a bad start except for the walks.
  13. Brandon Gemoll with a three run homer in the top of the fifth to give Huntsville a 4-0 lead at Carolina. Caronlina with three runs in the bottom of the 6th. Stetter strikes out 2 after coming in for Sarfate. Sarfate's final line: 5.1, 4H, 3R, 2ER, 4BB (1 intentional), 8K 4-3 Huntsville heading to the 7th.
  14. Another nice outing from Dennis tonight. I love the consistancy he's shown from start to start this year.

  16. When I do the Code thing, I end up having to preview my posts a lot. I'll preview, add and subtract some spaces, preview again, and so on, until it looks right. It's sort of a pain sometimes... especially if you are copying from an HTML table.
  17. Milwaukee LHP Chris Capuano (0-2, 5.32) faces St. Louis RHP Jason Marquis (3-0, 2.77) at Busch Stadium. Today's game is being played to make up the game rained out Monday, April 25. St. Louis is looking for their second three game sweep of Milwaukee this season after pulling off the feat April 15-17 at Miller Park. 18. Are Helling and Pratt just filler at this point? Or is there some sort of expectation that they can be useful to Milwaukee should there be an injury of some sort? I'd be inclined to get rid of those two as soon as Dennis and Dana are ready to make the jump to AAA... unless, of course, something happens and Hendrickson or Capellan are promoted.
  19. Al; One of Huntsvilles regulars can answer this better than I can... but I'll add my own personal observation from last year. When I saw Nelson in Huntsville, I thought his arm was pretty good- it wasn't a cannon or anything, but it seemed solid to me. It was a lot more accurate than I thought it would be, too, considering his relative lack of experience out there. Overall, he looked to be in GREAT shape, and he moved around out there very well. He's not the lumbering first baseman I remember from Beloit or his first go around in Huntsville in 2003. I'd say his arm is at least strong enough that he's got a shot at playing there, even if it would make him one of the weaker throwing ML RFers.
  20. DON'T QUESTION THE POWER OF THE RALLY CAPS LOCK. YOU MAY ALL BOW NOW. WAY TO GO CIRILLO.
  21. PUT YOUR RALLY CAPS LOCK ON YOU LOSERS. THANK YOU.
  22. The Rally Caps Lock worked well in the chat room the other day (Overbay's three run double came with it on). Maybe it is time to pull out all the stops and ask people to get them on in the game thread?
