  1. Geez people ... he looks fine to me. Throwing it up there at 99, and the curve is humming. He couldn't throw a strike during the Adams at bat, but Adams bailed him out by chasing fastballs at his shoelaces
  2. Well that's a huge bummer
  3. Burnes really missed his spot on that flat slider up high for the K, wasn't happy about it but it worked. Strike 2 in that AB vs Taylor was just perfect execution of the slider, nailed his spot down and away. Really excited about Corbin
  4. Corey Ray with another lead off homer! His 20th HR of the season
  5. Might be time to call Arcia back up and slide Saladino over to 2B. Tired of seeing Hernan in the starting lineup.
  6. I was watching at a bar and couldn't hear anything, but I was pretty disappointed to see the camera panning across a crowd of proud, cheering fans when Josh Hader came out. Not the most inviting scene if you're a Brewers fan who happens to be a person of color or member of the LGBTQ community.
  7. I truly feel like a lot of this can be attributed to the disappointment of the way that franchise has been run the last few years. He experienced lots of team success immediately when he came to the Majors, and then the Rays have just sort of given up and shed payroll every year. Like some of the quotes from him in Marc Topkin's article above, he wants to win, and the Rays have made it clear the last few years that that is not their priority. Get him to a contending team with guys like Cain, Yelich etc on it, and I believe Archer will shine.
  8. I'd love to take a chance on Archer. Like reilly said, the guy can eat up innings, rack up K's, etc. He's pitched really well against the NL in his career, and he's pretty consistent in his R/L splits. He'd be our TOR pitcher, even if many of you think he isn't a real TOR pitcher. Adding a veteran guy like him who can eat innings while being a great clubhouse presence with our emerging young starters like Burnes and Peralta could really help for the next few years. Get Jimmy back next season to add to the fold, and if he comes back like he did in 2017 that's a great 1-2 punch.
  9. Just finished the 6th inning... still room out here for ya folks!
  10. Tristen Lutz is really swinging the bat lately. Just hit his 10th HR of the season
  11. I'm pretty underwhelmed by the return here. Stearns could've beat this if he wanted to, without including Hiura, Burnes, or Peralta.
  12. links? Also, is Trout also getting looked at for his twitter account? I saw something that he might be in the do do as well? Maybe I'm not sensitive enough, but people are getting a little carried away with these (not talking about Hader's tweets). Merrifield isn't spreading hate on a group of people or putting people down. These words were used a lot 5+ years ago. Trout is the same situation as Whit's. How do those tweets not constitute putting people down? 5 years ago, saying those words was still very bad.
  13. Forgive me if this was already posted elsewhere... https://www.wtmj.com/sports/baseball/milwaukee-brewers/wtmj-to-air-brewers-classic-game-during-all-star-break Pretty cool idea, rebroadcasting the radio call of epic game 162 of 2008, with interviews of players/coaches/front office personnel mixed in. This should help cleanse the palate of the awful previous week and a half for our Brewers.
  14. WOW 2 YEARS AGO. If that isn't a doctored screenshot, man... Unacceptable. Just trash. Apologies are great and all, but they don't mean much when you spew this kind of bile for years. I don't want to root for this guy anymore. Ok I believe the image in that tweet has been determined to be fake.

  16. I am beyond disappointed with Hader right now. Just completely unacceptable, vile stuff. Not entirely surprised by it either. Ugh
  17. I keep seeing people comparing Medina to Burnes, including MLB Pipeline's tweet earlier... and isn't Sixto Sanchez the Phillies #1 pitching prospect? Who they refused to put in a deal for Machado? Makes sense the Brewers wouldn't offer Burnes. Can't really compare #1 pitching prospects to #1 pitching prospects when one is clearly a better pitching prospect. Kind of apples to oranges to pears here. Sanchez is clearly the more valuable pitching prospect than Burnes who to me is clearly a better prospect than Medina. I agree with you but Sixto is 19 and who knows with a kid that young. Just thought it was odd how alot of these tweets were framed, almost shaming the Brewers for being unwilling to include their #1 pitching prospect while OMG the Phillies are willing to include their 21 year old A+ ball #2 pitching prospect.
