Players of the game, so far... 1. Brady Clark 2. Doug Davis 3. Geoff Jenkins 4. Carlos Lee (Anyone else, and it'd be #2, but we've come to EXPECT this)
JJ is really showing that he is not a #8 hitter. He walks TOO MUCH for a #8. Branyan would walk just as much, so I guess there isn't a #8 except him but...I just think we need something more.
The Brewers are REALLY showing us some offense today. Maybe we blow out the hottest team, sweep the artful Dodgers, and then sweep the Yanks!!! And maybe Gisele and I will get married this weekend... HERE'S HOPING!!! :-)
Brady Clark is the MVP of the Brewers. He may not have the RBI's of Lee, but he bats leadoff and, if you combine his runs AND RBI's, it's a no-brainer...except he lacks speed. But so does Kendall and he's collecting a hefty paycheck, isn't he?
Three run lead? We'll see if that holds up. Though the Padres do have one of the best rotations in the league. But tonight is OUR night, not theirs! :-)
Carlos ALSO breaks up a lot of DP! I would HATE to be a SS or 2B looking at a bull like Lee coming at me full speed, knowing what had happened to Todd Walker.
Overbay with a helluva slide!!! And Miller...you did was Jenkins couldn't. Though Jenkins is still going to win us this game...or Hardy. That's my speculation. :-)
The way this inning is going, I'll be glad to escape with only one run, especially considering Dave Roberts was the first walk. Of course, that also brings up the fact that the Padres win almost every game in which they score first. Here's to a better outting next time for Obie.
